Hello, MC-Market.

I am making a suggestion due to one of my fellow Slashy_Hosting members being banned and I am annoyed at it to be honest, I am fed up with discrimination from appearance.

A recent example being PurpleStorms he was banned for "being underage" when I speak to one of the staff members the reason has reveled that they had not solid proof...
The proof behind the ban was `his appearance`

I don't want it completely abolished just make it so staff are aware that you need solid proof or a confession

I will not be naming the staff member who banned him as you can find that yourself but I would not like to start a war with staff on this issue.

If the user was banned on indirect proof then he should be unbanned. Someone could have a disease which makes them look younger or whatever. If there was no proof but just his appearance then IMO that is just plain wrong.

We do not ban the user that seemed like he scammed someone because he was actually being impersonated by another user. It appeared like the user who was impersonated scammed someone, but he actually didn't.. Right?

That is what I mean they are banning him on what he looks like for all they know he has anxiety and thinks he has a bad self-image. They could trigger a panic attack or worse, Luckily he does not but it could have been a possibility.

I possibly know the reporting user.

ALSO TRY NOT TO INSULT THE STAFF TEAM. They do a great job but may have slipups I know that this is a small issue but please dont over react because then the staff will react badly and this suggestion shall be denied.

PurpleStorms was like 11. He begged me to join his build team, and when I joined a discord call with him, he sounded like he was 9. His voice was so high pitched. You can obviously tell he is not 13+. There's your "solid proof".

Still not solid proof. Then I can just report everyone because it appears to me that user did...

Wow... He has not been through puberty so he MUST be underaged. I know people who are 13 who have not been through it soo.... Should we ban them also?

As stated above he has not fully matured yet due to not going through puberty.

His McM age was 17 years old and he sounds like a squeaker? Sorry right. He's 17 and hasn't gone through puberty

Alright so morraly speaking everyone thought that he was under 13, but we do not know for sure.. If there is any doubt you should not ban him.. That's just wrong. Either get direct proof or don't act.

Did he ever claim to be 17? Other than his profile age, Do you really think that every member has the correct age there? Or are we just banning for a profile age... Just remember all people under 13 are over 18 online...

My point is, why lie about your age if you're old enough to be signed up? Not only that, if privacy is an issue, you sign up with the right age, then make it private.

Staff can still see it he may possibly want to keep it fully private.

The forum has a obligation to act toward a law. If they have a clear suspicion that someone is younger then 13, then it's better for the staff to ban that person, rather then take the possible consequence. I'm pretty sure that he can prove his real age with a staff through webcam ID if he wishes to get back in.

Im not sure. People who are young are generally inexperienced in websites which involve money alike this one and can sometimes be immature. The website, I guess, is trying to be as professional as possible and being younger than 13 may bring issues. This can sometimes involve being scammed or bullied etc. This for obvious reasons and is something that the owners would like to strive away from as it prevents hassle for them and the staff team aswell as the actual kid himself. This being said as it is attempting to be as professional as possible in a minecraft community this situation could've been dealt better. It is hard to see a very matured 12 year old and usually they cant uphold that visage for ever.

However, I do believe judging someone's appearance shouldn't determine their age, this isnt right as I know and understand that feeling as I look very young for my age. The action of banning him should only have taken place once the staff team had sufficient evidence to back themselves up against threads like these. This is a very hot topic but im sure once the staff team reply, they will have some sort of evidence which is deemed sufficient as I dont think a website of such caliber would make such a rookie mistake :)
