You may have seen me around, my name is SydneyHorn and I am currently the co owner of Acerex and we are currently in need of enthusiastic individuals to join our development team to help build our server.
What Gamemode is it?
Currently, we are working on a unique twist of lifesteal as the sole gamemode we are going to release with a few unique twists which we hope will engage the playerbase and be fun for all of the players which is our ultimate aim.
How many members are in the Development Team?
We have 4 hardworking developers who are part of our team who each bring a different outlook on what is best for the server and how to achieve this.
If we have 4 developers already, why do we want more?
One main aspect of building this server for me personally is connecting likeminded people together as I believe we can all learn from each other, whether you have just started developing or you have 10 years experience. Each person brings a unique skill set which will help shape this server’s future. We are a welcoming community and perfect if you wanted to learn a new skill while helping each other create a server we can all be proud of for the players.
What is my personal inspiration
Back in 2018-2020, I used to love to play on Minecraft server, especially factions. I then thought to myself, ‘Why don’t I start my own?’. After that initial thought, I have stopped at nothing to make that dream a possibility. Back in 2024, I gave that a shot. It failed miserably. I was severely out of my depth as I was inexperienced and completely underestimated how hard it is to start a server but that didn’t stop me. I started Acerex in April 2025 with just myself. I then met many individuals who have helped shape Acerex and what we want the server to be. After almost a year of development, server releases, plan changes, we finally know which direction we are going and we are all determined to provide a unique experience and welcoming community for all players.
