I think it would be cool and simple to add a list of the most reputable members on MC-Market.

Here is where the button will be located: https://gyazo.com/5935c6706178d48760d6612ee1afa1ef

That way it would be easier to find the most reputable members on the market. System will work the same as it works right now, if someone has 140 positive rep and 0 negative rep than he will count as 140. Another person who has 143 positive rep but 4 negative rep will be placed below the first person with 139 positive rep.

Leave your thoughts below.

Why though? What would getting something custom for this actually achieve? It just seems like we'd be making a change for the sake of making it and it isn't really necessary.

It would permit us to view the most reputable members on the site. Compare statistics and find who's the most trustworthy. I've had people wanting this in some discords of mine as well, I figure I'd say "what the hell" and make this post.

Not necessarily who’s trustworthy. I know members who have 90+ rep from giving out free stuff in the span of their 3 months on site.
Just something to tinker around with I guess @ Mick
Guess you could call it another low desirable thing to add, if this is to be taken into consideration by staff than it would probably be held at the bottom of the list.

Quantity=/=quality.

If someone has 150+ reputation from selling snipes, why the fuck would they be more reliable than someone who has <50 for doing deals that are are $20-50 each?

That may not be the full intention of this addition, it's as useful as having "most messages" even though Doge made hundreds of unneeded messages, we all did. Never said quantity=quality either.

Your suggestion says "it would be easier to find the most reputable members on the site". This assumes that someone with a large quantity of rep is more reputable than someone with a smaller quantity.

Anyway, what would be the point? It would actually reinforce the illusion that more rep = better, encouraging people to get rep for everything they can manage, and thus actually detracting from the value of reputation as a whole.
Sure, if you've got above a certain amount of positive reputation, it's reasonably certain you're reliable for whatever field you got that rep from, but it matters little if this is 80 or 140.

Think about it. If a product on Amazon has 500 reviews or 1000 reviews, does it matter as long as both are rated 4.5 stars? Not really. All you want is for there to be enough reviews so that statistical outliers won't completely change the overall review value.

If you really want to know more about how reliable that seller/product is, you'll look at individual reviews, both positive and negative ones.

As Choo just said, it doesn't have to be super useful. It isn't really important either it's just a small edition that would be cool to have. We don't need to see who has the most trophies or messages and it isn't really important at all, but it is just a cool little edition. I honestly don't even see why this is being argued about as I doubt it would be that hard.

Exactly Reaper , I never intended this to be some big thing that needs to be added ASAP, I wanted this to be a small addition that like I said before, could be placed at the bottom of the list for things that need to be done. I didn't see the need to create an entire paragraph of an argument for something this minor. Numbers don't mean everything at the end of the day.

Yeah, but someone in the right mind wouldn't scam under a certain amount to ruin all the work they've done

I think it will be fun and not harm the community, just fuel curios players to see who's reputable
