As the title already suggests, I believe having a section on "Services" for Writing would be a good addition, as there are a lot of people looking for writers in order to have them create articles, lores, gameplay content or even homework/assignments so a clear, fresh section for this type of business would be perfect.

I don't think there are any cons in promoting creativity and content creators :)

I disagree with this being added, this has also been suggested before.
The main point of this would be only for the writers, and thus this is only a minority, if you're going to add a section for such minorities then Service teams which are a majority should also get one.

I don't have a problem with anyone trying to make a quick buck. I was just making a point that my claim that most writing services are riddled with grammar errors wasn't exaggerated, and that was just one mild reason next to many to avoid adding a Writing Services section. It's also not really fair to compare writing services to programming services or design services because writing services aren't even half as popular.
There are a fair amount of writing posts, certainly large enough for having writing as a section, even if it's only "half as popular".
The thing also is, when you hire a programmer to code an application, the application either does what you want it to or it doesn't. If it doesn't, you have the right to a refund. It's a little different with writing services because chances are, if you're hiring a writer, you don't really know what good writing looks like so the person can send you random subpar work and you wouldn't really even know, even though it might sound good to you.
Sorry, but this is an awful way of thinking. Sure, a plugin either works or it doesn't, but there is a HUGE difference between a plugin which works flawlessly, and a plugin that works but still has issues (performance, efficiency, lag, etc), and the same can be said for writing. There is a heirarchy to development, just like writing. BuT WAiT, iF YoU'Re NoT A PluGiN DeVeLoPer HoW CoULd yOU kNoW thE dIfFErEncE bEtweEn a FUncTioNAL pLUgIn tHAt iS MaDe PoOrLY vS oNE thAt iS mADe WeLl?!?! facepalm
Is that why there are 300+ homework services, twice as much as lore writing services, according to the search function?

Also, most kids who want homework help don't really want help in the sense of being tutored or actually "helped". They just want someone to do their assignment for them or write an essay for them because they're too lazy, which would be considered plagiarism/cheating.

I don't really care that much if someone cheats on their homework. I was just throwing out random reasons to not add a Writing Services section which staff (who try to remain ethical and moral and promote good behavior) might agree with. The prime reason I wouldn't want a writing section is because it would increase forum clutter and reduce activity in some sections even though the "Other Services" section isn't really all that active right now with only ~10 posts a day. Why kill it even more? And there are other sections that deserve more attention right now like a Steam Section which doesn't exist.
Okay, so instead of just saying 'This is a good idea, but staff would need to disallow people from posting threads about homework for X reason...' you decided to trash this thread with reasons that make absolutely no sense? o_O[DOUBLEPOST=1577186636][/DOUBLEPOST]

"This thing doesn't have a section, so this one shouldn't because it's smaller!"

I think the better approach would be to suggest a service team section...

You need to consider the majority of the minorities.
There is a lot of other stuff that needs to be done, other than making a simple section for writers, these services do belong to "Other Services" hence they're a minority.
5 out of 100 are writers thus do not need a new section.

Fair enough, but maybe you should have said that to begin with? Lol

No. It's not that popular compared to other sections that could be added to boost forum activity and better organize the forums. I feel like Other Services is the perfect place for writing services.

Again, I don't really care if people cheat on their homework or not. That was just a mild supplemental reason that staff might agree with since they've been trying to make the forums more ethical.

My main reason is the same one as as Joshua's. Writing isn't big enough to warrant a new section.

I agree with this.
