Allow members to sell Minecraft Accounts

I don't have all day to rant about this with other people, but this should really be considered as I see this unfair for members. You literally have over 1000+ people that have premium/supreme just basically ruling the whole site.. with members having nothing special. Let's say if "mcmarket" was a whole server and the donator ranks would be premium and supreme. This server would be pay to win because why? Members get jackshit.. nothing, which I see unfair. The main thing I wanted to talk about is way unfair is selling Minecraft accounts. You should be allowed to sell the main thing that makes you able to play Minecraft, and this is "MC-Market, #1 Minecraft Marketplace" right? So, if it's a Minecraft Marketplace, why can't members sell god damn accounts? This is a suggestion to add it. If you don't want to give this ability to certain members, have these requirements

Im not completely correct but that's my opinion and then to actually contact staff about getting the ability to sell accounts and surpassing all of the requirements, their should be a place for applications like scam reports has its own place.

Consider this, as yet this is a Minecraft Marketplace and you can't even sell accounts as a member.

This is in place to make selling accounts less scam filled. New system + having to buy a rank to sell accounts = very little scams compared to before and i don't think they plan to change that.

I agree and disagree. If certain requirements are met, I think regular members should be permitted to sell accounts. A combination of account age, messages and maybe even rep.

I'm agreeing and disagreeing with this. I think that members should be able to sell, but with tighter restrictions. I'd say 6 month account age, 500 posts. Getting a few vouches and 150 posts takes a farmer like 3 days.

Not sure what my stance is, but if members are allowed they should have FAR stricter thresholds. Like Dragonfly mentioned, but that being only the beginning. They should have made at least 15 successful deals or some such number.

Account selling wouldn't help new members gain rep, because when we let new members sell accounts, people scammed thousands on thousands of dollars worth of accounts by making 10 alts.

The problem is, back when accounts was a thing BEFORE it was removed, there were 3 pages of scam reports that were 90% accounts. The problem with account selling is that you need the seller to remain legit permanently, and there's very little you can do to stop someone from TID'ing back an account after a few months.
This was part of the reason accounts were removed in the first place. Now there's a system in place to minimize the amount of potential scammers.

Any other business I know of does not require people to remain trustworthy indefinitely to be able to use the product.
If I sell a build, the worst thing I could do after it's sold is resell it again or publish it for free. This does not deny the buyer the use of the build, it just devalues it.
Same for graphics, websites, etc. It does not deny them the use, but it does devalue it. This would of course still be scamming, but it does not remove the product.

We simply cannot afford to have new members selling accounts. So many alts, so many multi-accounts vouching for each other, so many scams.

For example, although I've done deals with a lot of people, half of them didn't leave vouches and only 2 have gave me rep because its hard to keep track of who you deal with. Even people like Style, Doge, and MisfitNerd don't have even close to 25 positive rep

It should be a lot. It should not be something you can acquire quickly or easily. The last time we allowed relatively new members to sell accounts there were two times more account scams than all other types of scams combined.

True. Few people know it's there/forget to give rep. You can't ask for it even if you've dealt with the other user, so it's hard to accumulate. (Seems like some people ask over skype though and they should be reported)

True. It would be easier to automate the trade feedback system though, but I guess we could do with both.

They should let members sell accounts now that MC-market at the start was a open marketplace that everyone could buy / sell. Now you have to donate to sell just to make those users more " trustworthy " which is retarded because everyone that has been here before alot of big users have scammed in the past.
