False, servers such as velt and arcane can support upwards of 650. I’ve also staffed a server which ran 350 players at 20tps on a single section. The other 4 were connected through bungee cord. I won’t deny that this person is lying and has horrible grammar, but servers can have at least 175% of your numbers.
I see what you mean. Although, it can support more than 200. There is that breaking point as you said after a certain number depending on the optimization. This non existent network could have 800 players distributed throughout 5 servers though.

When I say I worked on a server that had an average of 1.4k players I mean the total of players on all the bungee cord servers. I’ve never met someone who literally implies one server on a network. You could say you worked on a network with 1.4k players, although many just say server and do not literally refer to it as one sole server. ( Speaking of Hypixel ) People say their favorite server has 40k people. Hypixel is known as, as a server and I refer to it as the biggest Minecraft server. ( Sorry for going on like this. ) The point I’m trying to make though is that when people say server they often mean network as Minecraft servers are well, often referred to as servers regardless of how the hosting works or the technicalities. Although I do see what you mean. It’s all a way of interpreting it and personally I’ve never seeen someone refer to a server like that but hey it’s just me.
I can kinda vouch he's a mod on pokefind and it gets like 400+ avg and on pokefind there's like 4 game modes which the players are spread out through[DOUBLEPOST=1523953583][/DOUBLEPOST]
