Okay, so basically quite often threads that are 2+ months old get brought back from the dead, by someone, that hasn't looked at the original post date. Which is something everyone is guilty of doing at some point.
My solution to this would be, that if after 6 weeks of inactivity (no upthreads, edit's or replies) then it's safe to say that the post has already served its purpose and is no longer needed. The OP could be given the option to unlock it, just in case.
This should hopefully stop people from bringing up old threads again, as it clutters the forum with redundant threads, and can be quite annoying.
