Why not have a section where banned users can fill out a form and staff can take a look at their appeals.
The only appeals that shouldn't ever be allowed is scamming. Everything else, "shitposting, advertisement, request bans, etc" should be allowed for an appeal in my opinion.
Also what's the bad side about this? If you don't want the user to come back, then just reject their appeal, it's not hard.
The main reason I'm suggesting this because everyone shouldn't have a grudge held towards them, they could change. Anyways, that's just my opinion on it, of course the process for an appeal is hard, but at least they're is a chance to appeal.
(Plus side: you get more of the community back with a second chance).
(Negative side: they come back, break more rules. Ok.. that just shows that they should never come back after that one appeal?)
Examples:
Shitposter: They posted stupid crap to increase the comments. They come back and they have two ways to go:
Good: Stop shit posting, you're just gonna get banned again if you do.
Bad: They shit post, ok well mods can easily delete the comments.
Advertisement: They advertised a competitor.
Good: They won't do it again?
Bad: Ok if they do it again, well Ajdin you're already giving hints of a competitor that rhymes with "fart". So if they do it again, just ban them and never give them the third chance.
Ban Appeal: They got mad at something, they just needed a break, what ever.
Good: They just come back to the community!
Bad: ??? I don't know, they just requested a ban.
And let's be honest here, "we" ( as the community ) has given MC-Market many chances, why not give the users who were banned a chance.
Also two solutions, (I requested this when I was admin, the idea was turned rejected)
A: To appeal, email [email protected]
B: Allow the banned users to see a specific form where they fill it out. (Better idea for B since staff can easily access this.)
Last thing, if this idea was rejected and basically (a majority) of the community agreed. Ajdin you're not doing what you said in your post. You're doing what the community wants in a reasonable sense. This is a reasonable sense, everyone deserves a second chance, just like you got.
