The OP will be inactive for the foreseeable future. Also, it's no lie that many (smaller) hosting companies choose to null WHMCS to avoid such large costs. Just pop in any link into https://www.whmcs.com/members/verifydomain.php to check any specific host.

While I agree it should be against the rules to promote sites that do so, a ban is a bit far off. Perhaps just a warning will suffice?
A warning wouldn't be worth MCM's time, honestly. If someone isn't going to spend the money for WHMCS and decided to get a cracked copy, a warning on MCM isn't going to change that.

Honestly, I've been spending the last hour or so catching up on some of the updates I've missed, such as the rule changing and I honestly think MCM has gotten to the point where it's just legislating stupidity. There are so many rules on this forum, it's honestly ridiculous that a rule would need to be added for something like this.

I don't know. At this point, I'm going to keep my vote as is. However, if someone can present evidence of a situation where this has caused harm to MCM or a collection of MCM members, then I could be convinced to change it. Until then though, this is just legislating stupidity and it really needs to stop, in my opinion.

MCM needs to focus on their stuff and users need to focus on theirs. I mean, why do we need to worry about what users decide to do? If they decide to break the law, that's their problem. If NCM decides to get themselves involved by regulating that stuff, then they now introduce themselves to liability in the case that one gets through.

I'm sorta just rambling on now, but the more I think about this, the more I disagree with it. I guess I'll wait to see if anyone shares any instances where this has caused a problem and go from there.
