Ban the selling of iHCF and Para forks

First off, this may sound hypocritical for me to suggest this but it's definitely for the best of the community. Don't express your personal feelings towards me on this thread, because it isn't relevant to the suggestion.

I feel like this suggestion would definitely help clean up the plugins section and rebuild the developers community within mc-market.

Essentially, iHCF and Para hcf cores should be banned from being sold on the market. They cause constant arguments and have really turned the community to crap as nobody really has rights to sell it.

I'm not saying it should be a bannable offence to sell it, but the threads selling the cores should be trashed and the op being warned.

This idea can definitely be developed on so please let me know your ideas or feedback to find a solution.

I don't know much about permission shit (iHCF and Para), but why shouldn't people be able sell them? The only decent and good cores are all either private, or cost a shit ton. Also people saying that some people can, and some can't sell a plugin/fork I can agree with, but there is nothing legally binding with Para or iHCF so in reality anyone can sell it as it isn't licensed under anyone, nor copyrighted.

None of it is legally binding whatsoever. Nobody owns rights to iHCF or Para, Para is dissolved and was never a legal entity, and the iHCF code was never copyrighted.
Might as well just have a napkin with Doctor Dark's signature on, it's not legally binding or anything.

If it was legally binding they would care and they'd be stricter about who can sell what. None of that "Because I got permission from a guy, I'm gonna give you permission to sell it" Bullshit.
They know that nothing can be done to stop the sale of iHCF and Para on these forums unless it is made a rule and enforced.

It would be simpler and easier for it to be completely banned, it will entice the community's developers to make a brand new, better core and sell it. Gives more of a variety.

An example of a skidding kid who knows nothing was that "JohnS" guy yesterday, he sent a picture of the iHCF files and said it wasn't even iHCF, they'll do anything to get people to buy their shit and leave.

Who cares if someone doesn't have permission to sell/resell a fork or core... What's physically stopping that person from selling/leaking? People act like permissions mean anything at all. Nobody is physically or mentally stopping you. The whole argument on who has permission or not is quite stupid since anyone can do anything that they want. Like people actually give a shit about getting permission.
Half of the HCF core sellers on this site are probably just leaks with recoded shit. Everyone's just copying off everyone else. Nothing on this site is original, not that I've seen.

Not going to lie, I leak shit all the time. It may not be cores or plugins, but little shit, yes I do. I could give a rats ass about any permissions/legal shit because at the end of the day, what's physically stopping me from doing it? Nothing.

We shouldn't need someone to "physically" be there to smack our hands and tell us no, in order for us to avoid turning into savages with an every-man-for-himself and who-cares-who-it-affects attitude.

But I can't do anything to change the people who've developed into that mindset, so whatever. I'm just disappointed.

If people are selling iHCF forks without Scar's permission, report it, and they'll be warned 20 points for distributing content without right. Verifying whether they have perms is a simple matter of asking them for proof and PMing for confirmation.
That much is already being enforced. It's just hard to to tell who's selling a iHCF fork when everyone describes their products as "Custom coded" until someone downloads it and reports it.
Luckily there are some users out there very familiar with the core and are decent at catching when someone's trying to pull a fast one.

If we want to discuss Scar's rights when it comes to giving other people rights to redistribute, and possibly limiting him to selling only usage licenses, we can do that; but we need to ensure we're being fair to him and the situation regarding his share in ownership, and not just trying to limit how many iHCF forks are in the market.

There was another suggestion similar to this which I handled earlier which suggested that we ban the selling of forked plugins. At the end of the day, if the author of the plugin allows forks then there is no reason that we should step in and stop that from being the case. The exception to this is in resources, where we require users provide a significant or transformative change to be allowed to be distributed. If iHCF allows the forks then so do we.
