------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For your convenience, I have added a copy of the FAQ below:

Who are the developers of Polar?
Polar is being developed by NotLucky, Johannes, and UniqueGuy.

When will Polar be released?
Polar is currently in restricted beta. If you own an established server, you may apply to test or to purchase a license.

What is SaaS? How does this relate to Polar?
SaaS or Software as a Service involves a centrally hosted platform that performs resource-intensive calculations.
In Polar's instance, the SaaS model is achieved through cloud checks, which significantly reduce CPU usage, as fewer calculations are performed by the plugin.

Are all checks cloud-based?
No. Checks that require real-time setbacks (such as movement) are performed within the plugin.

What Minecraft client versions does Polar support?
We support 1.7 - 1.19.x

What Minecraft server versions does Polar support?
We support 1.8, 1.12.2, 1.16.5, 1.18.x, 1.19.x

Does Polar support modern servers with old combat mechanics?
Yes

Does Polar support ViaVersion/ProtocolSupport?
Polar has been tested with ViaVersion and ViaBackwards. Speaking of ProtocolSupport, however, we do not officially support it.

What are the recommended specs to run Polar?
  • No less than 2 CPU cores/server instance
  • No less than 60MB RAM/player and no less than 4GB overall

What are the mandatory requirements to run Polar?
  • AMD64-based CPU
  • Linux or Windows OS
  • Active, uninterrupted Internet connection

Is Docker/Pterodactyl supported?
For self-hosted servers:
Yes, however, having different mount points, network adapters or limited numbers of cores/threads may cause your HWID to differ.
For hosting providers: Yes, however, each server may have a unique HWID.

Will Polar have a significant impact on my server performance?
Performance reductions are to be expected, however, due to the semi-SaaS architecture, Polar is less resource intensive than most anticheats on the market.

Do you have yearly pricing?
Yes, by purchasing a yearly plan you get 2 months free. Contact support for more information.

Do you offer customized solutions for large networks?
Feel free to contact our support through Discord if you have any proposals.

Will I be automatically charged for the next month?
Yes, Polar involves a recurring subscription.

How can I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel your subscription through the client area, or by clicking a link on the initial order confirmation from Stripe.

How effective is Polar?
We aim to detect 99% of cheats in a matter of seconds.

Can I test Polar?
Yes, please create a ticket on our Discord server. Limited access until the release.

Do you offer Trial plans?
Yes, with limited access. You must have an established server or be willing to verify your identity. Feel free to contact us to discuss this.
No trial licenses are currently issued.

Do you have permanent plans?
No, but we are happy to offer you a generous discount on the yearly plan.

This seems like a very cool concept and I just have some questions I wanted to double check that you've thought of that I think potential buyers would find useful, I have already read the FAQ on site.

(I would like to say before hand I don't wish to buy the Anticheat I'm just genuinely curious and want to help out in case you haven't thought of something.)

Do some checks stop working if your server goes down and do you have a failsafe for this in case it happens such as being able to enable the checks locally?
Do you have any stats or videos of you testing the combat checks as "we aim to detect 99% of cheats in a matter of seconds" is rather ambiguous and has no substance behind it?
What is the advantage of an anticheat like this compared to other popular anticheats such as NCP(Well configured, not default config you can search one up online or I can provide one) or GrimAC.
Could we get some videos of server cpu and ram usage from the plugin as well as per player usage.
Does this have a quick patch time from a bypass being reported to a fix being announced on the discord (whether or not that be a configuration patch or an actual update to the plugin)?
Are there any pre-made configurations for the plugin and for different gamemodes (I would be happy to help out with this one if you want for free - I wouldn't expect anything in return)
Is there an amount of guaranteed patches or for a certain amount of time.

Also just a cool idea that could be a selling point would be to be able to update the plugin with new checks without a server restart, see-ing as plugin owners are already connected to your server I don't see why this would be a problem.

I hope I've been useful and to both you and any other server owners, I'm very knowledgeable on Anticheats so feel free to contact me if you want advice :D
