Hello, recently as I see people getting banned fairly, something triggered me.

People are getting banned because they are under-aged. Yes, thats correct, people that are under the age of 13 and the profile says that they are 12 and below will get banned. I believe that is bullshit because mostly everyone on this site seems to be around 7-12 years old.

Also, the guy, 1yfe (One of the users that has been banned) even donated for premium and even spent his time mostly on the forums. He also has ar ound +190 reactions, around 900-1,000 posts, and has been banned due to a ToS change about age.

His profile is not avaliable to be seened. The thread he replied to says that he has been banned.

I believe they should change the ToS. This is not fair for people who spend most of their time on the forums, donate their time on the forums, ETC, just to get banned because they are under-aged. Probably, like I said, most of the accounts are 7-12 year olds with a fake birthdate still rolling around this forums.

Not to make a movement or anything, but please, lets have reasonable bans. (EX: Scamming)

I'd like to let you know that there are certain laws set in place that make changing the allowed age to under 13 very difficult, and BeBosny was advised to change the rules.
If you'd like, I can go a bit more in-depth with you about The Chile Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) laws, and what they permit.

To make what he (^) said make sense, essentially there is a set of laws referred to as "The COPPA Laws" (Child Online Privacy Protection Act). To sum up these laws, they pretty much state if you know someone is under the age of 13, and you are collecting information from them, it's illegal. So when someone signs up on our forums and puts their age under 13, this means we know they are under the age therefore we shouldn't allow them to have an account because they can add location, social media, names, ect.

They probably added this to their (MCM) ToS just for liability reasons in case something ever did happen.

It's not necessarily "fair", but I think they would rather be a little unfair instead of breaking the law.

You should be allowed to use the site under the age of 13 if laws aren't in place in your place of residence.

I'd say that the age limit should at least be lowered to 10. As this is a Minecraft community, a game which kids -- a lot of kids -- like. They might want to buy stuff, sell stuff, browse or just overall use MCM as we do. I'd say this is a good idea of changing the age.

Just because someone donated doesn't give them an all access pass to freedom... They contributed to the website. If you are under the age of 13 you are going to get banned...

That doesn't change the fact that it's illegal.

That I know, but I'm just saying. It'd be nice if the law were changed. I know it has a slim chance to surpass 1% of the law changing.

If this was a minecraft forum that didn't collect your age, name ,location, etc.. it'd be okay to lower it to 10. Only problem is it does collect that info, which is illegal.

10? This is a marketplace, to allow 10 year olds to by and sell in a marketplace is not a good idea at all. 10 year olds don't know business or marketing what so ever, I think 13 is a good number, but we really don't have a say since it's the law.
It doesn't matter regardless, the law (at least in US and europe) says 13 years, so 13 years it is.
I know people on this forum dislike complying with any law, but unfortunately a business like Mcmarket can't get away with not doing so.

Should be, 13+ or allowed permission from parent/guardian.
I've seen that before and I don't see how that could break the law.
Unforunately, legally complying with the permission from parent/guardian is a rather big hassle, so bebosny decided against that.

Or just put a fake age.

Also do they get unbanned once they've turned older than 13+?
