Howdy all.

Business accounts have been a highly discussed suggestion that's been made several times (10+ times!), so I thought it would be suitable for me to merge all of them together to get a proper discussion made for it.

A full list of the ideas we have received so far are:
- Make a user choose whether they're a business or personal account at registration (http://www.mc-market.org/threads/141432/)
- Have a tag for users who are a Business account (http://www.mc-market.org/threads/141432/)
- Pay a small sum of money to become a business account (http://www.mc-market.org/threads/141432/)
- Be able to delete a business account (http://www.mc-market.org/threads/141435/)
- Have a 'Business account' tab on your profile where you can create one (http://www.mc-market.org/threads/141435/)
- Allow you to easily switch between a business and regular account (http://www.mc-market.org/threads/137253/)
- Carry account upgrades on to business accounts from personal accounts (http://www.mc-market.org/threads/133589/)
- Have a permission system for the business account owner to set permissions for other users utilising the account (http://www.mc-market.org/threads/108082/)
- Manual approval of posts by the business owner (http://www.mc-market.org/threads/108082/)
- Thread & post assigning to avoid double posting (http://www.mc-market.org/threads/108082/)
- Unified login so you can log in from your personal account, and add another password to your business account if the other user doesn't have a personal account. (http://www.mc-market.org/threads/108082/)
- Rename business accounts to company or shared accounts (http://www.mc-market.org/threads/95566/)
- Allow you to assign people to a business account through a list (http://www.mc-market.org/threads/91936/)

There's probably a few more ideas I haven't included in here, but I'd like your opinions. Lyphiard did create a system in the past for BeBosny, but it was buggy and required too much development with the idea he had.

Lyphiard's idea was that in your User Menu in the navbar you could click a button called 'Business Account' and from here you were able to create an account if you didn't have one already, and if you did have a business account it would let you edit the profile picture, name, etc. You can also give people permission to use your business account and it would alert them when they are. You are never really logged in to the account, but when you make a post you're able to decide whether you want it posted by your regular or business account which is pretty cool in my eyes.

It is also worth mentioning that in the past BeBosny stated that he was interested in completely removing business accounts, and instead allowing for users to have 'Business Threads' instead. He said this here: http://www.mc-market.org/threads/91936/#post-1072364 and his suggestion about Business Threads is here: http://www.mc-market.org/threads/90497/.

Personally, I think that business accounts is a great idea and Lyphiard's idea for them was fantastic, but I'm not the person who's going to be using them, you are! Any input into what you'd like to see would be greatly appreciated, I hope that we are able to get a system developed and released by the end of March.

Thanks.

Maybe do the idea with if you pay xx amount, you can add another user under you that is a account with your business.
With a separate login etc.
I don't particularly want for business accounts to cost money, I feel that they should be offered to anyone free of charge.

I like the idea of verifying comments / reviews. You get so many users on here commenting on forum posts slandering their service who have not even bought it. It's getting to a point where they'll even make up bad points just to better their own service. I also think business accounts should be manually verified by forum staff. So you have a submit a form of your business, website, service. As I mentioned before I think having some sort of review module on forum posts as well for verified customers of some sort would be great. Access to some more tools would be great as well.

You better not have business accounts be payed for, that's just stupid imo.
Yeah I agree, but I feel it would be useful if some of those other features get implemented. It would keep people from just making every account a "business account" just to get the tag.

It wouldn't need to cost much, say $3.
This is my opinion, so feel free to disagree and stuff

This is a great idea! But some of these member's comments have valid points, but some not. I feel like business accounts should either be for donators, 3-5$, or have like a application system of why they should get a business account. 3-5$ is s**t all if you think about it, most people doing business that are taking it seriously and getting people are making 20$+ and 3-5$ is like 25% but if they need/want a business account it is a one-time payment probably. On the application system for the account, I feel like people should be making money and actually have some rep and a bit of a business before being able to get or just upgrade to a business account.

When a business account posts, if there are multiple people using the account, display which user made the post by displaying their personal account somewhere on the post. If the user does not own a personal account, simply display as unregistered.

Also maybe only make business account creation available to premium/supreme users?

I think this may defeat the purpose of a business account for some, but I understand that some users may want this for whatever reason. So maybe if this is implemented it could be done so as an option?
