Just bought an iPhone that was activation locked.
Anyone know if there's any way, or legit service, that can remove the iCloud lock?
Thought I'd ask even though I'm in doubt.

Thanks guys <3

Contacting Apple support. I had my iPhone 4S on lock for around 2 years because I am based in the UK. (No Apple support in the UK, had to find some time with US support. To clarify, Apple wasn't slow enough to take up 2 years. Timezones were just fucked.) They fixed it for me within a night. But yes, in my experience, just the usual "contacting the support" was a good option.

Yeah, I'm in the UK too.

So, they can unlock it, even if I'm not aware of the original owner's details?

Not while it's activation locked :p
Not an iphone guy myself but, with samsung you can basically reset everything without the phone unlocked. IPhone should have a similar function, dont quote me on that though. Kappa

If it's on iCloud lock, go to the Apple store. They will unlock it for you for free of charge.

I live in the UK as well. I recommend just calling Apple themselves but I also recommend switching from apple. I heard they're slowly slowing down their models. There are many other great companies out there that make amazing phones. Some examples are: Samsung, Huawei, 1+ ||||| There are so many out there. I do have family members that can probably sort out your phone. I'll have to ask.

They don't slow their iPhones on purpose, it's the software which they update which is obviously going to be slower for older models.

Found this on the internet, might help:

Step 1. The first thing you’ll need to do is open the Settings menu followed by iCloud. Tap on the iCloud option and you’ll be asked to enter a password. Since you don’t remember the password, simply enter any digits and tap on the Done option.

Step 2. Your device will show an alert saying that the details entered by you are incorrect. Ignore the warning and tap OK followed by Cancel. Head back to the main iCloud screen and tap on Account. Then, remove everything from the description box and tap on Done.

Step 3. You’ll now be taken to a different iCloud screen where you’ll notice Find My iPhone has automatically been turned off. That’s fine, and go ahead and scroll down and tap on Delete. You’ll get a prompt where you need to tap on Delete once again.
Yeah, I've done research, but this won't work.
Activation lock is before the set up process, so you can't get to settings.[DOUBLEPOST=1517525903][/DOUBLEPOST]

Sorry. Only heard rumors.

Alright, I've currently got the iPhone X and, It's pretty fast compared to iPhone 7/8 as it has the brand new A12 Apple chip. My iPhone 7 still works and isn't slow until I updated it to iOS 11. It's proven, you can check Youtube and Google.
