I'm assuming you have to have the TID of both accounts? Because I want an OG that doesn't have a TID on my main account.

You can change names, you can change capes, it's your account(s) and you're supposed to do what you want, unless if you're not buying the game but they lend you a copy. There's simply dumb staff that don't know how to deal with this, I've gotten capes switched and names just keep trying.
Do you have to provide the TID of both accounts you want the names switched?

Uhm, no.
They always did this, before the new stupid mojang support.

I'm tired of hearing this crap from people like you.

Just because support won't do something for you doesn't mean they're "stupid". The real reason name swaps aren't allowed is because of abuse FROM THIS FORUM. This is YOUR fault, not the "stupidity" of a Mojang employee.

The average support employee answers about two hundred emails a day. They don't have time for your stupid scams. They all sit in the same room and talk to each other, so when you just try to get another person, they often know about it.

Don't see why it isn't allowed, the reason people want it is because the name means something to them.
Yes we're aware we can change our name every 30 days.
But with all these snipers, and 100's of other people who can go for it?
How the fuck is it possible for us to get the name again.
Don't see how it is a scam, when people like me own both accounts and don't sell or buy.
This may have been possible in March, April when your IP didn't limit after 5 fails on a name.
I do admit, I shouldn't have called them stupid.
I find the idea stupid.

Really? more account-related bitching? Do you realize most game-companies would not even tolerate a trade in game accounts? Blizzard certainly wouldn't. That Mojang is doing so is extremely generous, and you're still constantly giving them shit about it.
If I was them, I'd shut down a trade area that has so much complaints and hate breeding. You're making money on usernames for bleep's sake.
It's one thing to make money with plugins, servers, builds or the likes. It is another thing to trade usernames, which there are only a limited amount of. And then everyone is constantly complaining that mojang does this or mojang does that in a way you don't like. Deal with it. Mojang are trying to make their systems more secure, so that people playing the game don't need to worry about having their account (and thus their donator ranks and progress and name) stolen by some hacker or just a clever person that managed to compromise their login data or even their TiD.

From what I have seen from the Account trade so far, it is an extremely unsafe area filled with more scammers and dubious practices than any other part of the minecraft market. (note that I am not accusing anyone in particular of scamming, I have just seen so many scam reports and accusations related to accounts). If I was the owner or a dev of a game company, their profits would be the LEAST of my concern, preceded easily by the security of the people actually playing the game.

If something changes that makes it more difficult for you to trade accounts, adapt to it. Every businessman outside in the real world has to deal with changes in the rules and systems, though some are rich enough to try to change them. That is not applicable here though, so you'll just have to live with it.

Mojang support are there to help people with actual problems. they are not trained to facilitate your trade nor are they familiar with all of it. But they do respond, and while their expertise is obviously very limited, try calling Comcast or the support of most large settled-in companies. They often outsource their support to countries where the people on the other end barely speak english, let alone know more than is on their list. Compared to that, Mojang support even responding and attempting to help you regardless of expertise is a miracle.
