So recently I've been wandering the forums and I've noticed a certain amount of users have a lot of people claiming that they've seen them scam and they have a lot of proof, but they never make the report. Or if they do make the report, the scammer pays the money back and then a month later another report is made with the same reason. This is kind of worrying me and I hope this suggestion can lower the scamming rate down a bit.

What's my suggestion? My suggestion is that we add what's called a "Caution Tag". A Caution Tag is basically a tag that is given to a user for having more then 2 scam reports on them and in the scam reports the user claimed to be scamming but paid the money back. A user could also receive a caution tag if they've scammed more then 2 people and never replied to the user until a scam report was made and they paid the money back.

What would a Caution Tag look like? It would look something like this except more yellow with black lines going diagonally across it. There would also be some sort of icon that would look like this next to it.

I'd love to hear improvements and feedback on this suggestion! If you agree or disagree with it, please tell me why in the replies and we can maybe improve this possible feature as well.

If you scam someone, you get banned regardless of paying back afaik. I feel like someone should have a caution tag even with 1 scam report open. People can visit the scam report by clicking on the tag and see if they should or shouldn't deal with that certain user

Well, a scam report could always be made on someone just for revenge or troll.

I think this is a great idea, but I think they should have the caution tag if they have 2 or more scam reports on them regardless of whether they paid the money back yet or not. (Temporarily until the reports are resolved ofc.)

Yes, then the people can visit the thread and see that it is a troll. Would take 1 response for the defendant to show that it is fake

Well like what US said, if they don't pay back the money they're banned.[DOUBLEPOST=1515630901][/DOUBLEPOST]
this has been suggested MULTIPLE times already and denied. Please deny this already Mick

I guess, but some people don't always check and they get scared away if they even see a tag like that.

It could in theory stop scams, I don't see the opposition to it (and too lazy to look at the other posts :/)

edit: re-read the threads. "Innocent until proven guilty" isn't relevant when you have more than 1 scam report open on you at once. If you're not guilty, you don't lose anything, if you're guilty, multiple people could have been saved from being scammed.

That's exactly what this is. Mick says scam reports are "Innocent Until Proven Guilty" and a caution tag could deter away business. Dosent matter how many scam reports are open they are still considered non scammers until those reports are closed
I'm saying though that this is for people that admitted they're guilty but have chosen to return the amount scammed and have decided to take their punishment and receive a tag. This is not for all users that have ever had a scam report opened on them.

So instead of getting banned they get a tag? If that's what you mean I'm at a disagree.

No, this is for if they've admitted to their wrongs and returned any money lost. If they've scammed and don't pay back any money they would be banned.

I think they should get banned either way--returning money or not

If you scam, whether or not you return the money/items, you're still a scammer.
