Chat box Advertising

Hey there!

Lately I have noticed the amount of advertising has been sent in chatbox, an unbelievable amount. I’m now finding it hard to read proper conversations with all these advertisements. I feel as if we need a 2nd chat box only for advertising and that chat box can have a shorter delay between posts in that chat. Making it a shorter limit between advertising before didn’t make much of a difference. I think this solution could make not only the chatbox clean but it makes conversations much clear.

Why would you need another shoutbox? People could just ignore the advertisement shoutbox

Because it's so many as Mitchie said, If I'm going to ignore the advertisement, I'm going to ignore the whole box.

Isn’t chatbox supposed to be a discussion for users to make deals, not for advertising. Advertising looses the whole point of the chatbox

I find it annoying with a load of advertisements just flooding the chat.

Well not all, Those who aren't interested in it will ignore it for sure but there's others who want to see them.. Like if someone is searching for a new mc server voting site

So 2 chat boxes, not really having a difference whatsoever? No thanks. Think if there was a youtube channel that was only ads. Every 15 seconds, a preroll add. Nobody would go to that channel. Nobody is going to go out of their way to go to a separate shout box, just to see advertisements

Neah well people do look for hosting sites and offers. Mcm isn’t a advertising platform. I mean yeah I guess *anyone want my OGriginal?* is fine.

I’d rather look in the annoying box. It’s more pact full of advertising. MCM has enough advertisement options anyway.

I know you did, but 90% of people are just going to ignore it

I hardly care about the ones in the main chat box now but after a while it just gets annoying..

It's not going to be implemented as there's not enough demand for it right now, because it would require custom development to have two chatboxes anyways.

Maybe a rule of fancy advertising the the chatbox may help. Like Custom Keyletters and anything to make it noticeable from anyone else.[DOUBLEPOST=1508682464][/DOUBLEPOST]

MCM is a market place where people have businesses. McDonalds is a business. McDonalds advertises. Technically it is an advertising platform.

Eh, MC-Market has nothing to do with advertising servers ect. It’s a marketplace for selling goods/trading or making product for people or a service.
