Hey MCM,

recently I’ve seen some confusion about the investment policy, even from staff, which I will link below. Considering that this is no the case as said by Mick here: https://builtbybit.com/threads/allow-that-sale-of-partial-ownership-of-servers.666039/page-2#posts we should clarify in the forbidden products section that only loans or investments not in equity are not allowed. If this stance has changed (which would be a horrible thing in my opinion) then that should be stated so there isn’t confusion.

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

The policy is that it's not allowed. It's just that enforcement on it is a bit lacking.
Thats not the policy Mick had stated in the thread, and that he just confirmed in the discord. The problem is the wiki stated that investments not allowed at all, and everyone took off with it (understandable mistake).

I've gone ahead and updated our forbidden products and services wiki page to replace "investments & loans" with "loans, IOUs, or investments in which ownership of equal value in the invested project is not immediately received", which is our policy:

https://builtbybit.com/wiki/forbidden-products-and-services/

If there's any confusion about this, please create a ticket, and we'll be happy to discuss how this policy applies in practice.

I'll move this to implemented, great suggestion thank you :)
