My name is Mattéo, and I am a french multi-lingual (I speak fluent French, English, and Spanish and have notions of Chinese, Italian and Romanian) medical school student. After taking a break off the Minecraft management stage due to my studies taking a big chunk of my time, I have decided to come back. I am looking for servers in need of professional staff management services (established servers are of preference, but I don't mind if you're releasing soon). I also believe it is important to mention that I have never and probably will never ask for compensation for my work. I want to help out communities and find communities that I can have genuine interactions with, I'm not in it for profit.
For those of you who don't know me, I go by as Thrilled, and I have managed several servers which I will mention below, ranging from Factions to Skyblock and Prisons. Before I go in-depth concerning the servers I have worked with, let me explain what you get from hiring me.
Services:
- I will professionally manage, supervise and train any staff team you currently have, whether it be on discord or in-game. This means I will change your staff team for the better by promoting the deserving ones and demoting those that need to work on core aspects of staffing. I will also be supervising their actions, organising training sessions for the newer members of the team, as well as monitoring every staff member's actions on the discord.
- I will provide, supervise and manage all staff applications with templates. This means I will be writing an exclusive staff application template for your server based on your server's needs and monitor the responses to those applications.
- I will provide a staff handbook to make punishments more appropriate and look overall more professional. This staff handbook will be based on your server's gamemode and rules and will contain the necessary actions to take against a user if an infraction is met, as well as the time the punishment should last.
- I will configure your staff permissions to better distribute the weight of staff tasks across the server.
- I will organise the staff section of your discord for better organisation and more professionalism.
- (optional) I will provide several guides that are helpful for the playerbase and the staff team. These include, but are not limited to "application guides" and "screenshare guides".
Experience:
Now for the previous experiences I have had, I will only go in detail for the most beneficial or worst experiences I have had.
Multicube
I joined Multicube as one of my first ever multiplayer servers back in 2014, and I instantly fell in love with it. So much that I began donating and rapidly spent a lot of money on the server. I wasn't doing that for perks as at that time, it was one of the servers that had very little p2w experiences and only had 3 or 4 ranks. I wanted to help the server more so I applied and started as a Helper on their server. Slowly but surely, I started getting more known to the community and amongst the staff team and started getting promoted to the point of obtaining the moderator rank. The server shut down mid-2015 if my memories are correct after one of the owners (PxlPanda) joined Hypixel. This was one of the best experiences I've had as it was the first experience I've had (who let me join the team with 0 experience) and taught me the basics of staffing
Hypixel
Like many of you, I loved Hypixel and it was the first-ever multiplayer experience I had (back when you could buy coins for every gamemode to progress faster - thank you EULA for fixing that). After playing a lot on the server, and seeing they were constantly looking for people, I decided to try my luck and applied on that server. If I remember correctly, I think I applied 3 times overall before being accepted as a Jr.Helper during the summer of 2014 (it was their form of "trial helper"). I unfortunately stepped down and left the staff team after about a week or so because I was having a lot of school work to do and couldn't find a proper balance between both. This was an in-between experience as it was both beneficial and non-beneficial. I learned a lot concerning minigames, how to monitor them and I learned a very important trait which is leniency.
Oxyrise (playerbase: [regular] 200 - 300 [peak])
Now this one is by far my favorite experience. I joined this server before it even existed. Essentially, I applied on a server called GalaxyPrisons (previously called HyperionCraft) and got accepted as a helper. The owner at that time (who used to be a good guy and ended up going the wrong path) decided to create a network and acquired the "Oxyrise" name. He brought everyone from the old server to the new one and thus I started my journey on Oxyrise as a helper. This server was a wannabe network until the owner realised he couldn't manage a network with multiple gamemodes so he decided to make Oxyrise a Factions only server. It's once the server became a factions server that I started having a lot of fun and started getting promoted, eventually becoming the general manager (as a general manager, I overlooked staff, community, appeals, finance etc).
The server has had several owners, but all decided to keep me as a manager because they thought I was doing a good job.
Eventually, one of the owners sold it to someone, and that person decided to have me as a second owner considering I had been with the server for at least 3 years. Due to a lack of will from the other owners and a clear lack of intellectual resources, I left the ownership team as the server flopped.
Vanted (playerbase: [regular] 80-100 [peak])
Vanted was the first skyblock I ever managed. It was very different from the other experiences I had as the rules were different and the community there was one of the best I have ever managed. While at Vanted, I mainly took care of the staff team and oversaw some of the core aspects of the server as well as the owners saw I had decent overall server knowledge.
Daedricmc.org (playerbase: [regular] 250 - 300 [peak])
I was brought on this server by a mutual friend the owner of that server and I had. To explain it briefly, the owner at that time (amachang) was looking for quality staff members to bring along his fourth season of Factions, and the mutual friend we had recommended me. I managed staff there for about 2 months before leaving due to the fact the community wasn't very appreciative and pretty hostile towards me, saying I wasn't fit for the position and that I was brought in without legitimacy. This was one of the bad experiences I have had managing.
