Thought you were done replying? Anyhow this is a side-gig. As I have an actual job using Golang on a daily basis, and I make more than you sitting here on MCM with your buddy trashing threads. Maybe you will understand what its like to support yourself and live in a nice house without leeching off of your parents when you grow up.[DOUBLEPOST=1592957715][/DOUBLEPOST]Keep those words when you find out that tons of devs here have good experience that's shorter than yours, and manage to make more than you do on here.![]()
By average developer meaning average developer on this site, if you were to scroll through the bot development section you would find tons of "kids" offering bots with pre-made features, such as your buddy "Canary Drago" in his past threads, I don't do that.I'm sorry but where is it that 3 years of experience makes you a "non average" developer?
Never said statically typed languages are faster I just gave examples of certain languages that just so happen to be dynamically and statically typed."Node.JS is a dynamically typed language, and it runs in a VM just like Python does."
Golang is a statically typed language and it compiles to machine code just like C++ Or C does, it is faster."
yes golang is faster than nodejs and python in most scenarios but something that is dynamically typed/runs in a vm is not necessarily faster than a static language that compiles to machines code
take for example kotlin native (idk how it is rn it has gotten alot of updates since i last checked on it), it compiles to machine code but is significantly slower than running kotlin on the jvm
or another example Julia language it works similar to nodejs and can often times be faster than golang
"That is the stupidest thing I have ever heard, certain languages can process calculations faster than others, which means they are a faster language. There is a lot more to using the discord APIs than visiting them in your chrome browser."
wdym "calculations"
If you took the time to compare it in a real world use, you would not even be posting this. GoofyA simple google search would explain your statements, whether or not it is noticeable to the customer is irrelevant to the speed of the language. Goofy
Brb, gonna go find who asked for your opinionIf you took the time to compare it in a real world use, you would not even be posting this. Goofy
Not gonna continue this argument any further, threads aren't made for this. One last thing though, try to check your claims before posting.Brb, gonna go find who asked for your opinion
My claims in my original post are facts however you seem to have a different opinion and in that case, keep it to yourself because no-one actually cares about them in the real world. Not gonna continue this argument any further, threads aren't made for this. Exactly, so if you don't care about my opinion then why are you here, trashing my thread? GoofyFreedom of speech. And if nobody cares about his opinion, why should they care about yours?
If you believe anything stated in this thread is incorrect feel free to give some proof of it, because the content in this thread is well known facts.Because other people may care about your opinion. And so I'm letting them know, its incorrect. False advertising much?
"that just so happen to be dynamically and statically typed."
well yes but u also specifically mentioned those parts and only those so it really made it seem like you were saying thats why xd
"If you believe anything stated in this thread is incorrect feel free to give some proof of it, because the content in this thread is well known facts."
well u said specifically "I provided are proven to run faster than ANY other popular language for discord bots", so i look at the githubs of the most popular libs aswell as check top.gg for a bunch of languages and find the most popular libs are JS, Python, Java, C#
View attachment 366083
according to this benchmark C#/Java are both on average faster than golang, for a real world example, a well optimized golang program will probably beat all the languages i mentioned (altho not always), i just wanted to explain it not a "fact" that golang is faster
If I do Python work for a multi-billion dollar company, that doesn't mean that I know EVERYTHING there is to know about EVERY coding language.Thought you were done replying? Regarding your 2nd "point" what is wrong with offering pre-made bots? They for sure are better than yours.
Looks good man, I'm sorry your thread is being trashed. Just report them and once MC-M staffs look at it, they'll most likely be removed, can take up to 1-3 weeks sadly. You can see these unsecure coders at their prime grouping together.![]()
Golang Discord Bots
All of my discord bots are coded in solely Golang and provided to you in the form of the source code and an executable (EXE For Windows or a Linux Binary) so they do not require any prerequisites or extra steps to be used unlike Node.JS or Python. Furthermore bots coded in Golang such as the ones I provided are proven to run faster than ANY other popular language for discord bots. Unlike ALL other competitors I do not rely on command templates for ANY of the bots I create, even the free ones.

Couldn't have said it better myself, and I have reported a few of the posts but reporting them all seems to be a waste of my time since they just keep coming back for more and its quite entertainingLooks good man, I'm sorry your thread is being trashed. "depends on my opinion of popular languages"Go vs Java -> Go wins in the majority of situations.
https://benchmarksgame-team.pages.debian.net/benchmarksgame/fastest/go.html
I wouldn't consider C# a popular language for discord bots same as C++ probably has a discord library, not that many people use it.
Still, the "ANY other popular language for discord bots" depends on my opinion of popular languages for discord bots, which are Javascript and Python. Your post has not proven anything.
Is anything in this thread incorrect: nope"depends on my opinion of popular languages"
theres no point in proving anything then, its like if i said "out of the popular compiled languages, golang is the slowest" and then said the only things that count as popular compiled languages are C++/C
yes by your opinion of whats popular then golang is the fastest generally, but i tried to find what languages are most popular in the most objective way possible, this is completely pointless "argue why X is better than Y but you are restricted to only using arguments i want you to"
