Seriously, you are going to use a girl as a marketing ploy, bit sexists don't you think? What's next swimsuit models with your name on their bikini?
What a amazing idea.. Just have a girl with a diamond sword and creeper head in a bikini bring in all the 11yr olds ;)

You're actually stupid for saying this. That "girl in a push-up bra" isn't a model, it's a friend of the company. I understand your confusion considering I don't think you know what marketing is (judging from your own hosting company) but that's not it. Give me a male to take the exact same photo if that makes you feel better.

You're a joke in my eyes trying to bash this hosting company on a public forum. Have a great day.

Actually it's not a normal thing to do. I have never seen another host post a thread with a girl staring into a camera with a push up bra on advertising a company on the primary post. When companies post photos of their employees it's because they are showing the work they are doing, or the employee has achieved something like employee of the month.

I agree with Ian to an extent. The way that the photo was taken goes against what you claim DediFire. For starters if this was to show your 24/7 support with a level of professionalism you would have taken the photo where the girl/woman was wearing professional attire rather than a tight fitting t-shirt.

It'd be best to drop the topic, all the posts will probably be removed anyway. She literally took a photo with what she was wearing on the day, this wasn't some model we commissioned. I for one think she looks fantastic and am very grateful that she went out of her way to take some pictures for the company. I appreciate your opinion though, thank you for not being disrespectful with the comment.

I agree that this was blown slightly out of proportions. However I do feel that the photo does not display the message that you intended. Even if she is an employee, friend, or model it makes no difference. If the photo would have been of them doing work I feel it would have gotten the message across a lot better. There is absolutely nothing wrong with using a model to advertise your brand. The main thing to remember when having pictures on your thread is to just make sure that it gets the appropriate message across.

I find these things "cool" except they said that dedicated servers' SSDs cannot be put in RAID.

Which I find weird as even "budget" providers allow you to do this as but not limited to OVH.

Honestly, there’s nothing wrong with it imho. If you use a girl they will say you are objectifying her, if you use a bloke they will say that you are denigrating the role of women in business.

What if she just turned from her work? men don't seem to have the same objection, why not treat women equally, as we should? Anything a man can do a woman should be able to do. And if that were a picture of a man there would be no objections - so there should be no objection when a woman is doing the same thing

The principle is;
It’s essential that women are seen as much as men in business situations and business advertising, because if that doesn’t happen, what will happen is that we will go back to the idea that business and work are just for men and women shouldn’t get involved in it. That would be taking us back to the 50s so it’s essential that a good proportion of people shown in business advertising are women. It doesn't matter what they are wearing or whether they are doing work or not.
