And I agree that what they did was very un civilized. But you have to understand that having a man that has no idea what he's doing with power can change ones attitude. People are very sensitive about these types of issues and can't control what they do. But not all democrats were like this.

My friend, that is not a fair comparison. They are a vast minority of the protestors. That's as fair as me saying the neo-nazis who chanted "Heil Trump!" are representative of the republican party.

I agree, what is happening is wrong. I was just stating that the individuals who claim Trump is the first to toy with the Native Americans are completely misinformed. I actually did end up voting yes on the poll due to how a lot of these so called "protestors" handled themselves. Violence happened because the Riot police struck first in the pipelines.

It was a peaceful and sit-in protest and the riot police came and tried spraying them down so they eventually got violent and that makes a lot of sense.

0. Just going to attack credibility here, this is clearly a conservative biased source, just look at the other headlines. (Not saying CNN is an impartial source either, they're trash too).

1. "That's actually a good thing" - To call this a falsehood is an understatement. When there is a recorded 1 degree difference (which there is, there is yet to be a study done to disprove heat increases in the poles across a broad spectrum), it contributes to a positive feedback loop - a loop which feeds itself-. Basically, temperature increases in the poles, poles start to melt (Yes, the poles are melting. They gained sea ice, but lost about 20x more land ice than sea ice they gained. In addition, sea ice is seasonal). A one degree difference isn't helping us heat anyone because it's a change in climate and not global temperature, they're different things, radically different. The fact that the person writing this is unaware of that speaks volumes as to their actual knowledge on this subject. In addition, the limiting factor on growing crops hasn't been temperature in decades, we fixed temperature limitations with GMOs (we produce strawberries that make their own antifreeze now, along with other crops).

How do you think we knew the sun had an iron core centuries before we were able to use computerized scans of the sun? How do you think we can say the size of a far away star or about our own star's life cycle? We can tell a lot about our planets cycles just by the record it has given us; itself. Rock records have told us more about the history of our planet than everything else combined. Saying we don't understand the climate of the past is simply absurd, anyone who even possessed a middle-school knowledge of geology would understand that.

3. I believe this is referring to the climate summit email scandal. If it is, this person hasn't read the emails, and if you're citing them, neither have you. Go read them, the "blatant lies" found in them are nowhere near it. People simply cherrypicked oneliners.

4. Well this is just... wrong. The ozone was depleting, at an alarming rate as well. Wanna know why it's not an issue now? The developed world banned the use of cfcs and the damage was stopped, just as the climate scientists said it would be. The cfcs dissipated mostly by 2015 and the ozone layer began it's natural self repair and regeneration. This is a great example of how climate scientists actually fought to do something that saved millions of lives. Don't believe me? Research the damage a hole in the ozone would cause. Arctic ice is disappearing, any study will tell you that and there has been zero legitimate counter evidence to that. Super hurricanes? Never heard of that, but look at the number of hurricanes my friend. 115 in North Atlantic from 2000-2015. How many from 1900-1915 you ask? 59. Care to try and argue against that statistic? I'm looking forward to that.

I also notice a lack of evidence towards this argument. "The scientists lied" isn't evidence, it's a claim. You'd have to back it with some examples to be a justified claim. The only evidence I see against climate change isn't even against climate change, it's a statistic for how long we have been recording the temperature on earth.

Nope, at the pipeline. Protestors lit fires along the highway while marching towards a barricaded construction site. The riot police were sent in to guard that construction site. When they wouldn't let the protestors pass they began to hose them down to maintain control of the situation. If they had decided to stay put and not try and push past a police barricade it's safe to say the police wouldn't have needed to use violence as a means of control. (Note, it's ok to be upset and protest, but they can't just march onto private property with the intention to potentially hinder a business operation which at the time, was deemed legal.)
