Hello! My name is Ethan (or Eclipse) and I have been working on a large Minestom project for the past year. This project consists of many unique ideas and unique ways of using Minecraft’s already established concepts. I am looking for someone to work alongside our current lead developer. I am turning to the Spigot forums because Minestom is not very well known and there are not many “Minestom devs”, but it is fairly similar to Spigot plugins. Therefore, Minestom experience is not required for this position, but will greatly increase your likelihood of being a part of the team. Below you can find the documentation and requirements for this position.
Developer Requirements
Knowledge Minimum 1 year of experience with all of the following:
Java,
Kotlin,
SQL,
multi-threading,
and Minecraft plugins.
Skills Common skills you must have in the workplace:
Teamwork - You must be good at working with others, as you will be working alongside other members of our team.
Communication - You must have above-average communication skills. This means speaking fluent English for voice calls and texts, understanding criticism, and of course a good sense of humor.
Brainstorming - Although you are being hired to work for the project, your job also consists of coming up with and expanding on ideas presented to you. Your ideas and interests will help us innovate as a team.
Maturity - You must have the ability to be mature in times that call for it.
Fast Learning - You’ll be required to learn how to use Minestom and how to debug it (even though it has many advantages, it includes quite a few bugs)
Age The age requirement for this position.
You must be 16 years old, or older.
Other Information
Payment Compensation for your time spent on our project.
Payment will be discussed privately.
Remote Working
Work confidently from your own home. With voice calls and texts to communicate.
Challenge Please note this challenge is only required if your application was accepted for the second phase.
You will have to complete a development task in order to prove your skill. There is no time limit (although if you spend too much time on it, someone else may take your opportunity). This task will be given when you apply below.
