Looking for some community feedback, and want to know if this has happened before.
At the start of January, we paid $390 for the bottom banner for 3 months, and after a few weeks submitted a new banner like we occasionally do, we've been using this bottom banner for nearly a year.

After our banner was taking longer than normal in the pending phase (1-2 weeks which seems like a really long time to approve a banner) it was denied for a rule we weren't aware of. Fair enough. (even though the banner at the top of the site is also breaking this rule...)

It seems they've now re-sold this banner space to someone else, even though we've already paid for at least 3 more months, after we submitted a new banner which I know doesn't break the rules.

I just want to know if this has happened before, or what some people here might think, because right now it feels like we just got scammed out of nearly $400 :/
What would be the best way to handle this? I opened a scam report but that system doesn't seem designed for this kind of report. I haven't had a response on my ticket that we opened at all, and that was opened nearly 1 week ago, and my last ticket took around 2 months before someone corrected the issue

Edit:
in case anyone thinks im making this up

we haven't had any contact, or refund from them at all

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

I really recommend you just contact staff and see what they say.
I doubt they'd scam you out of something that would cost nothing for them to provide.

Probably a misunderstanding or a glitch in their system?

How would I go about contacting their staff? Their ticket system has taken nearly a month to get a reply, and last time we had an issue I think it took even longer. Doesn't seem like they really keep on top of the tickets sadly, which is why I made this thread[DOUBLEPOST=1580043288][/DOUBLEPOST]Like I don't mean to be rude, but I've had better communication from someone who sold me a $3 fidget spinner on amazon than I seem to get from spending over 1.5k a year with MCM - the lack of communication is totally what makes this so annoying to deal with

I don't know for sure because I'm quite new here, that seems like a very bad problem which would be unprofessional to ignore though. I wish you the best of luck...

It's primarily the lack of staff they have responsible for handling advertisements, which is sort of an overlooked task. The only people who can help you is Mick, Justis R and maybe Kram, I'm not sure if he's also assigned some responsibility to it since he became Lead Moderator. No one else can help you and that's why your ticket will take forever to be responded to.

They definitely need to take care of their advertisers more (not the first time they've pissed off advertisers - *cough* Dann), probably by teaching other moderators how to use the ad managers to resolve problems or simply being more attentive. The latter is tougher considering they all probably have pretty bad individual backlogs.

Lol... They seem to have enough time to find new places to squeeze adverts on the site by the looks of things - in the short period I've been here I've seen two new ad spaces created[DOUBLEPOST=1580067377][/DOUBLEPOST]

& what happened with Dan? I'm considering a chargeback through PayPal & stopping all our advertising spend here after I've had some other people contact me about similar issues

Bit of a cheeky joke with Dann.

But for the rest, I do not recommend chargebacking. That will get you banned. All you can do is peacefully handle the matter because MCM may have a glitchy ad manager at times, but they have no intention to scam. They will compensate appropriately for errors on their part with ad credit and such. It's a matter of customer service, nothing else.

As someone who has purchased ad's before and may do so again. I would love to see your input on this matter.
I understand running a forum can be a very stressful task.
However, any company should never have a period where a ticket takes almost 1 month to get a simple reply (if that truly is the case in this matter).

Doesn't seem like a joke, it seems like a real trend of poor business practices

I would love to think so, but right now all I'm getting is radio silence, and PayPal advise that we open a dispute as soon as possible, and keep that dispute updated with how things go. So they have a record of everything. So while I would love to get this resolved, I don't see how we should get banned for trying to recover funds. We aren't getting what we paid for & that's only half the issue, the poor communication makes this concerning, and makes "resolving it" a roll of the dice[DOUBLEPOST=1580068292][/DOUBLEPOST]I'm also a bit pissed off that MCM are selectively enforcing the rules, too...

Correction, our ticket was opened a week ago. However our last issue took 2 months to be corrected, in which time MCM owed us about ~$80

A week honestly is not the best, but not the worst response time for a forum this size.
Have you tried PMing Mick directly in regards to this?
He may be completely un-aware.

I agree it's not awfully long, if I was a user. But we're a customer buying a service. They've clearly actively taken more money/accepted a new advert, while they know we've paid for that space already. It's a manual process on their end.

I haven't tried contacting anyone personally because that feels out of line, and I don't know who's responsible for what exactly. That's why I made this thread

I'd totally suggest making a conversation with Mick and Justis bringing it to their attention. Some systems here are automated and I'd like to believe they are unaware of the current issues you have. I don't see making a chat with them out of line on this. And it should be a step you take prior to any PayPal chargebacks.
