I mentioned this in my reply to a suggestion to make the section Premium only, which was created after Simon stated that he would be actively combatting buyers and sellers of Skyblock coins:
I would prefer if we simply remove the content completely.
Supporting people in their efforts to violate the terms or license agreements of the services they use is harmful enough on our image as a marketplace platform, but blatantly making changes to the site specifically to hide those violations from the people who would rightfully seek to catch the violators and terminate their service is something I want to avoid as much as possible.

The Minecraft account section, as a precedent, is like quicksand pulling us into businesses we should be avoiding at all costs. We cannot allow it to act as a justification for dipping our fingers into even more (and potentially illegal) grey/black hat activities. I don’t want us to be that kind of site, and I know I’m not alone in that. It’s unfortunate that the community has decided to continue allowing their sale.

If the owner of Hypixel joins MCM, I want to be able to offer him all of the same protections and rights as we grant every other product owner or service provider on our platform.
MCM should always encourage that the sound agreements our users participate in are properly upheld, regardless of how successful a business the agreement is with.

This reply of mine focused primarily on the rights of Hypixel as a business, just as MC-Market is filled with other MC focused businesses. It also focuses on MC-Market’s image as a place that respects people’s rights, encourages legitimate business, and combats piracy/leaks/rights-violations and the violations of agreements between our users. I maintain firmly that just because Simon’s business is a very successful one doesn’t mean MCM should dismiss his rights as no longer important and allow them to be violated all across our platform.

However, I want to focus on our community for a minute. The buyers and sellers of these coins. Do we really want to be encouraging and supporting that people sell these coins to our community members knowing that the people who buy these coins are going to have their accounts banned? What about the sellers, who will not only have their accounts banned, but will have Hypixel, with all of their resources, relentlessly fighting to ensure that those sellers will face legal repercussions?

By allowing the transaction of these items while maintaining that we care about people’s rights, we are giving the impression to lesser aware users that the sale of Hypixel’s assets is perfectly legitimate or at least safe enough and even endorsed by us. The vast majority of our community members are not in a position where they can make informed legal decisions about whether they’re safe to blatantly violate the TOS of the services they use, and MCM should err on the side of caution for their sake.

If MC-Market doesn’t want to endorse these violations as legally sound, we need to stop encouraging and allowing that they be violated, on our platform. The Hypixel Skyblock section is filled with sticky thread advertisements. MC-Market is making money by encouraging that our users violate their TOS agreements with Hypixel and sell their assets to other users who will also have their accounts banned. This is just not acceptable.

Please, let us focus as much of our resources as we can into growing legitimate businesses where the rights of all parties are respected and where our community members won’t potentially face repercussions for knowingly violating their contracts.

That's more a problem with the section letting you have more than 1 thread open when 1 thread should be good enough[DOUBLEPOST=1588965153][/DOUBLEPOST]
Bruh don't you legit run an altshop ?[DOUBLEPOST=1588965258][/DOUBLEPOST]
Every and any MMO has coins sellers, hypixel skyblock is an MMO on minecraft[DOUBLEPOST=1588965880][/DOUBLEPOST]
Pretty much every person I've sold coins to had a rank (which means they paid hypixel at least once), also pretty sure Hypixel doesn't sell coins, so at worst we're just inflating the skyblock player counts with bots.
Just saying i havent seen a single arguement here which actually justifies the selling of accounts properly, your just stating information which doesn't have too much relevance. E.g. for Brano's arguement instead of giving a valid arguement, you just attacked him by saying he has an alt shop. Just because everyone you've sold skyblock coins has donated doesnt mean its justified???

This is the dumbest post in the history of posts. If you want to change the image of the site for the better, do it. Kill the accounts sections. Ban the sale of most social media accounts. Ban real world trading for games. Why are you seeking our approval?

I understand that the market for coins and stuff is rife and I also see why simon is clearing the accounts but we should just let the people do it. It's at there own risk of being wiped.

I have to agree with Airee. This should not be allowed. Neither should the selling of minecraft accounts or fortnite. If this site wants to truly respect other companies then follow their TOS. All of them. Not one. And don't change these to an only premium+ section. Remove them completely.

Oh yeah so when someone from a server says its not allowed to sell their coins for irl money we must follow it. But we can sell cracked fucking minecraft accounts on here!!! yes lets not follow what mojang says. lmfao shits getting more retarded everyday.

this is what I was thinking, if we are going to block hypixel items or whatever, why not remove everything illegal or gray?

Fuck this shit, fuck you Justis, mcm is being run by the biggest hypocrites on the planets, after almost 6 years of running and allowing the breaking of Mojang's tos and other companies' you decide to be 'the good guy' when you were fine with it 2, 3 years ago? No. No.
If you wanted to do something like this you should have listened back in 2016 when the OG market was actually active and running, people were left and right selling Jacked Accounts (they still do, but does it matter really?) You've always allowed the sale of such accounts no matter how they're obtained, so you can't come today and tell me.. 'We care for others and we respect other companies' tos' let me tell you my friend, you're a bitch. If you wanted this site to follow 'ToS' and rules, you shouldn't have allowed it from the start, from 2014, from 2015, from 2016.. but you can't just come now and bitch about it after the market is dying and say 'lEtS rEspEct THE tOs'.
Also if you're gonna be a bitch and follow Hypixel's trash, when hypixel barely recognize this forum, that will only make it worse.

Rant over.

*smoke bomb*
*don't ban me*
are you implying he is a simp for hypixel

why do we dig this grave up every few weeks it seems. As said if you want to do this then you need to ban minecraft accounts, all social media account selling, fortnite, the whole videogame item section. once you get to the end of this long list you end up removing around 6 sections from mc-market
good luck

Yeah might as well remove it for now if Hypixel plans on sending out C&D's or something along those lines.

Yes, lets disable to ability to violate Hypixel's TOS by selling coins, items, etc, as MC-Market is based on the primary business of violating Mojangs TOS for account selling, 200 IQ.

Hypixel is talking about legal action.

It's funny because some of those sections make up the majority of MCM's activity product wise...
