Honestly, all we have is a funny reaction which just makes people mad, so why don’t we add a dislike reaction so we can use the funny reaction properly? We can just use the like reaction upside down

If you provided a service, you would much rather get sent a funny rather than a dislike.

I do provide a service and a funny reaction is just childish, but it’s the only thing we have. If someone genuinely doesn’t like a service, you write about it and dislike it, same with YouTube videos

yes but we were discussing which would be better for trolls. You were saying a funny gets troll abuse. (Which is better for service providers). I was saying if you added a dislike button, then it would get abused. Which is not preferred for a service provider. I would much rather trolls click the funny button rather then a red dislike button.

Yet those who abuse these reactions should be receiving punishments for breaking rules already in place. This is yet another situation where if the rules already in place were better enforced we wouldn't need suggestions like this and we wouldn't have to make the funny reaction not count towards your overall reaction score.

I think that's the reason the funny reactions became neutral, they're just spammed everywhere instead of heaving proper reactions to use. I really don't see why someone who's funny, gets funny reactions and they all are just neutral. Replace it with dislike/disagree and make that neutral, and the funny reaction won't be abused as it was before, and people won't get rewarded for being idiots, but will get rewarded for being funny.

TLDR -
*Make a dislike/disagree reaction available on all forums.
*Make the funny reaction not neutral.

I'd still like a bit more feedback on this. What is everyones thoughts on us removing funny and optimistic reactions from being used in the marketplace forums? These reactions are only ever used to trash peoples products and are simply unnecessary.

Honestly you might as well remove all nonessential reactions from the business sections due to the fact that users will just find a new reaction to replace the funny and optimistic reactions to mock people.

the way we have our reactions set up at the moment is that we allow for users to use the disagree reaction in forums that have discussion. Marketplace forums purposefully don't have a disagree reaction because it doesn't make any sense to disagree with someones product or service offer.

Adding in a disagree reaction to those forums will just make it easier for users to be toxic and trash other peoples threads for no reason.

This might be a very dumb idea, but what's our thoughts on removing funny from the marketplace category too?

I still agree with my initial judgement here, but think that removing the funny reaction from the marketplace category won't actually solve anything, it'll just push the problem down the line to the optimistic reaction.
