I make a scam report on a person last week... due to this scam report not being open to public view, another person gets scammed by the same person.

I left neg rep and all, but that's simply not enough.
Do the scam reports faster... anyone with a fair amount of rep can scam so many newbies and get away for it.

A while ago, I opened a scam report and it didn't get reviewed for a month. Outrageous!

It’s not as simple as it looks. Instead of the community complaining and telling us to go faster, give us constructive criticism. Do you suggest any way for the scam reports to go faster? It’s also harder than it looks to find scam resolvers, people that meet staff requirements are hard to find.
People meeting staff requirements are easy to find. People willing to work for McM that meet the staff requirements are a bit harder to find but it is still quite easy.

It is as simple as it looks. You all just make it look hard for no reason. You could clear almost all backlog in a weekend. You just do not want to. "I have a life" - You should say "I'm afraid of putting in hard work."

Constructive feedback is something you all keep asking but that's a big error in your thinking too. You need other people to tell you how to do YOUR job better?

Well I noticed some people are banned in the scam report section as seen here also here, I think they could potentially take out some of the banned users and maybe lower the amount of scam reports as they are not active a lot of them can’t respond and I still don’t understand how they are being opened as they are banned.

There is a reason for opening scam reports initiated by already banned members.

If we can determine that the accused user was scamming, we can still ban them, even if the OP of the thread is banned.
More often than not, the OP’s lack of ability to provide more information leads to the scam report’s closure, but sometimes what they’ve provided is enough to look into and conclude that scamming intent was present.

Users either respond in under 12 hours or 4-5 days.
Approve scam report posts in mass, give accused 24 hours. If they care enough to attempt to return they can make an appeal account. None of this 'I'll wait until the accused replies to continue even if it takes a week'[DOUBLEPOST=1543727933][/DOUBLEPOST]

Then why does the report need to be opened and sit for a week at a time? It could be taken care of in private and made public when a decision has been made.

Hire people who actually have the time for the job and instead of hiring tens of staff members and pay them barely anything, get a less amount of staff and pay them more. We don't need that many staff members, especially when they don't do their job properly and start disparaging the job and the site. If staff actually got full time job pay we would see more motivation coming from them and not the "they lost motivation" excuse.

The management here is inefficient, and hiring more and more staff members doesn't nessecarily mean the job will be done faster, but even the opposite - more staff members -> less pay -> less motivation -> loss in efficiency and quality.

What Mick and Justis have to do is to find people who are able to provide an appropriate response and pay them accordingly, rather than getting those inactive kids and in a massive amounts.

I'm quite sure staff members are based on their activity.

The pay is not enough, I am quoting Justis on this. "They're not doing the job because of the pay but for the site". Now when people do it "for the site" the motivation is lost when some kids insult you. But if you do it for the pay, you don't give a shit on what people say to insult you, and as a result you don't lose your motivation and the work is done more effciently. When people don't get paid properly + get disparaged for the job they're doing I am very unsurprised they lose their will to help the site after 2 days.

Justis said the pay is not even close to minimum wage, so how can you expect people to work hard for no return for their work?

We need to take time to get the person who broke the rules banned correct. We do need 3-4 more staff members who are doing scam reports.

exactly, there's no reason scam reports need to be hidden for 3 months while 700 unknown scammers roam around. approve all scam reports automatically, give them a few days to reply, and if they don't then ban them and let them reply when they're back if they're truly innocent.

the current way the scam reports are resolved is so fkin inefficient and retarded that it's unbelievable that even someone who tries to be as logical as justis r would be all right with the current system, it is just embarrassing

The fact that BucketOfSlots has open scam reports from over 3 months ago with the last reply made by the user and not him (staff), should say enough about why it takes so damn long to process them.

We've made some pretty transformative changes to scam reports since this suggestion was made, but we still unfortunately do get fairly backlogged with responses. The solution to this problem is to promote more scam resolvers to ensure that even if one is unable to work for personal reasons, we will always have more to pick up the slack and handle everything quickly.

Denied, thanks for the suggestion.
