It's sad to see people getting scammed hunders and hundreds of dollars everyday, atleast do something to stop them, like release thier ip and email or something but seriously they are literally ban evading and just scamming again.

Do people want that?

Use a middle man, pay using goods and services, double check things. If you are looking to buy/sell something and the price seems too good to be true, 99.9% of the time it's a scam.

No reputable person on here will allow you to pay with goods and services

Leaking someones personal info (email, DOB etc) would be a violation of the data protection act.

It also means if MCM was to leak their email, and they were to get spammed because of that and where then to miss a vital email, which caused them financial losses and "distress" (Could be anything a banking email, student finance etc). MCM would be held liable and could be sued.

You might say they wouldn't try to sue MCM since they could get into legal trouble for scamming. Which would be wrong, the evidence that stands in a scam report usually wouldn't stand in a court of law. (With maybe a few exceptions).

Simply say in your ToS or ahead of time that you do not wish to pay through F&F for paypal rule reasons, and offer to pay an invoice they send you instead if they dont want G&S. Invoices are bloody hard to charge back.

ip addresses are not personal information.

It's basically a phone number but for your home's internet, especially if it's static. It can even tell you what town someone lives in (usually). How is that not personal?
If you're at university, obviously it's less personal, but still tells people where you are residing.

Ivain touched on this, but IP banning is one of the worst things you can do as an administrator on any website or server. Here's why:
If you ban someone, they'll just come back on a new account/email. But they're using the same IP, so it's very easy to detect that they're evading/alting.
Let's say they keep coming back, so you keep banning their new accounts based on matching IPs. Eventually you decide to ban their IP.
Now when they come back, it's a new account/email AND a new IP (proxy, VPN, etc). You have zero information to tell you if they are evading/alting, until hopefully one day they forget their proxy/VPN and you get an IP match.
MC-Market does imploy additional techniques for alt detection, but they also don't IP ban for this reason.

If you are dealing with a high rep member, then you would just be adding more risk of you getting scammed.

Thats not the site, that's specific people in specific sections. I've never had to go first, really. Only times I technically did was when I was too lazy to wait for a deal to take place directly (this was before I discovered Sellfy).Thats when I got scammed.

Middlemen can also scam. Sure, it's rare, but in reality you really don't need to add that little extra. If there's a high risk of being scammed, A smart middleman wouldn't take it on in the first place since they'd get charged back on (and thus scammed, unless they charge back on you too).
