Does Verringer deserve First 50 medal?

How do you define 'First 50 Members'?

  • Members (go ver)

    Votes: 46 76.7%
  • Accounts (go mcm)

    Votes: 14 23.3%

  • Total voters

just wanna note that the first 50 medal literally states ‘One of the first 50 MC-Market members.‘
Regardless of the account Chris is on, he is one of the first 50 members, no?

I believe Mick and Justis's argument that Verringer's current account was not in the Top 50 is contradicting the fact that he currently has the Retired Staff medal, when Verringer's current account was not a staff member.

You can't pick and choose when you'd like to define it as "accounts" and when you'd like to define it as "physical persons/members"

Just my observation.

I'm all about consistency wherever possible in the effort of promoting intuitively, or an instant and natural understanding; and shooting a first 50 medal over to a 2017 account is not consistent. It emphasizes the mistakes of our past administrators which lead to the need for a replacement account, a need for an anomaly.
Not considering the fact that most decisions will last forever is what lead to this situation in the first place.

We would not need to have a this distinction between "member" or "account" within the scope of the first 50 medal had an account not been deleted; and "members" would have been a perfectly acceptable word to use for that medal description.

MC-Market is allowed to change for what's best in the grand scheme. For example, enforcing that accounts never be deleted from our database, so things like this don't happen again.
If we need to edit the original wording for the medal from "member" to "account" to fix this anomaly and ensure the description matches our continued intended purpose for it, then so be it.
There's no reason why we would need to stick with the original phrasings when the future was not considered at the point of their creation.

I mean it's just a medal, what's so important about it?

Anyway, there was no reason for you to delete your account, you could've just left it how it was and then none of this would be happening right now.[DOUBLEPOST=1519187481][/DOUBLEPOST]Plus you said this in another thread:

If you only come on once a week, then why are you bothering with this?

Deleting the account wasn't a 'mistake', Justis - it was intentional and I'd do it again.

Or you should do things legally.

The future was considered at the point of creation - I knew I'd delete my account which is why I made sure I used the word member - so that when I re-made my account I'd get my medal back. Source: me, because I made the medal Kappa

Let me know when your name is Chris Verringer and then you can comment on whether there was reason for me to delete my account, well within my right x

Principal - someone brought it up and I was reminded. Also, am I not allowed to start using the website again?

Plus - by definition I deserve the medal and MCM staff are changing things to suit them, imo funny.

An account is not your personal data.
There is certain information that may potentially exist on the account, which you can request to be erased, but the account itself, its location, and its ability to be reused is not something anyone outside MC-Market has the right to control.

Not going to comment on your jokes.

Since you want a response to your previous reply to me, I will reiterate, my response was, and I made sure to clarify this, "My opinion". Mine. Notice how it was not me who invited you back onto the website after you had deleted your account.
If it was up to me, I would not have allowed the creation of a new main. It has nothing to do with my opinion of you, I simply despise exceptions that much.
And yes, it is an exception.

who gives a shit LOL this is a site for 10 year olds anyway

Mick / Justis - Just create a duplicate copy of his account with a different email/username for the time being. Have one associated with user ID "1", and the other associated with the user ID "69891". Then, ban the account under the user ID "69891" for being an alternate account. He can then continue to use his account under user ID "1".

Then, give him the medal, and everybody is happy.

Y'all are acting like this is some huge corporation that can't afford to make small changes, but the reality is, is that this site is so small in the grand scheme of literally anything, and it won't matter.

Locking this thread now, there's no point to it and it's just an attempt by Verringer to create drama because he has nothing better to do.

You're not getting the medal.

Locked.
