Hello there!

I have been pretty busy the last couple of weeks/days, and this is what I came up with:

So. It turned out pretty well, I have to say, beeing my first major organic thing I did. I just wanted to post it here, getting a few opinions on it, maybe an esteem for its value and maybe even a few offers to buy this thing. I dont really have an idea how much something like this is worth, but I sure know its worth more than like 10 Dollars, so no lowballing or trolling please.

For further questions PM me or contact me via Skype, found in my signature.

Thanks!

I can understand, but by itself it's not useful. Its only useful as part of a spawn or something like that, and few people are gonna buy it just for that. I'd suggest selling it nonexclusively and seeing how much you can make from it that way.

I can understand the feeling, having put so much effort into it to learn its not worth a lot. However, only useful things sell. If you're any good at building, try making a bit of a skyrim themed spawn around this dragon, see how much you can get for it then

This is a beautiful build! However, I also have to agree with Ivain. You could easily sell as part of a spawn. Personally I feel non-exclusive sales would be much more profitable for this type of build. So i would use sellfy to sell it for 5$ per person.

It looks like you took this model and just imported it into Minecraft and then just changed the color with World Edit:

http://dharmindoshi.com/blog-posts/alduin-dragon-rig/

Well, I built it off this exact model, and created a wireframe using an external program, however i almost toally redid huge chunks of the body and the entire wings of it, so it is about 70 % or more handmade.[DOUBLEPOST=1471454847][/DOUBLEPOST]
This is some proof, you can see me editing the legs, and even the wings. Colour was also added by hand, aswell as the massive changes to the body of the dragon, which i sadly have no photo of.[DOUBLEPOST=1471459153][/DOUBLEPOST]Thanks for the feedback guys, and i guess the fact it is not 100% hand made make it a lot less valuable, from what i read so far. I will replace this with a sellfy link soon.

How am I a thief now? Whats the deal here? I never stated that I created this model myself, I even said I used external software directly on the model to convert it into a wireframe.... And to Rise: This model is Public Domain, which means it is free to use. And if you do not see the difference between the model and the final parts I edited, that is because they are not that huge, but definitely noticeable. I dont see the problem here, I didnt lie, and I definitely didnt steal anything... I will keep this thing for myself then, and not sell it, and stay away from organics in the future. If someone wants to talk about this further, feel free to do it in this thread.

It's public domain yes, but you can't resell it. You told us this once I found out that you used a model. this isn't organics, this is you stealing their work and reselling it.

I thought thats what Public domain means? There has not been any sign of copyright/restrictions listed (such as "for educational purposes only, only under license, etc. , at least not where I got it from), so no, I am not stealing. Theft, according to Wikipedia, is "the taking of another person's property without that person's permission or consent with the intent to deprive the rightful owner of it." There is, however, a consent in this case, which is done by publishing this model under Public Domain, not listing any other restrictions. In the resource I created, trying to sell the build (I did not sell anything, and it is down now, no worries) I specifically stated the fact that this was used under Public Domain, and I even included the link to the website, giving proper Credit. So, it is not restricted to resell it. Anyway, I made big changes, which are honestly very noticeable. Colours were also added by myself, and the model is beeing deformed by the voxelization of the 3d model. So, it isnt even the exact same model. Which would be legal anyways, if it was. And yes, it is still organics. Organics is any build representing an object found in natural environments, which do exist or could exist in real life. Stones, Trees, Rocks, Twigs, Fish, Cats, Wolves, and any other animal, including dragons. So yes, I am taking other peoples work (which is allowed, according to the website I got it from), modify and deform it and then sell it. In this case, it might be really obvious that I used the model, but I can assure you that I put lots of work into this and if you would have seen how the dragon looked right after it got voxelized... Deformed Legs, the wings (which i totally redid btw) were also messed up, and there was no colour at all included. In the End, I created something inside a Video game, which took a lot of editing work, and I wanted to sell it to get a reward for the work I am not selling it for The Dragon model, but for the work that went into it. But i can understand why you think i stole it, and I should have stated the fact that I used this model in the original thread post, but as I said, if you would have been interested in buying it, you would have gone to the resource page, and there would have been a description of the building process, including a link to the site. I tried to hide the use of the model in the original thread, I have to admit, to make it more appealing before you actually buy it, and I will apologize for that. If you have any other questions or want to discuss further, please PM me, or if you want to do this publically, we can do it here aswell, and you might even get a neutral moderator to decide whos right. If you want to report scam, fine by me, I would understand, but please, lets try to sort this out first, then see if you actually need to. By the way, not trying to be rude here, just defending my position.
