Did you not like primemc?
I fucking hate it, lol,. I've joined Prime in feb 2015, became helper at june 2015, after a week I discovered its toxic and messed up dark inner core. Software is the biggest money wh*re I've ever met, he doesn't care about his server/staff/players at all, he justs pays chckn a ton and let him do all the stuff. If you don't believe me, I can get like 10 people to back me up, including Affixes, Pulse, Audacity etc

also I became unbanned today on their forums, was banned for a week for Staff Disrespect; made a thread showing 1 of the 55 helpers only online (not even any mods/admins on), which is really sad

I am honestly glad that Mojang has enforced the EULA, as I enjoy playing factions, but I am not rich enough to keep up with all the ranks. And I watch some Youtubers, and I now feel I will be able to compete with them.
They just need to enforce it then to all servers. *Awaiting CosmicPVPs post about the EULA*

The servers should get to decide themselves if they want to follow Eula...

The players should decide if they want to play on a pay2win server. Not mojang.

1) Mojang can't possibly enforce EULA on every server? There are so many servers that Mojang doesn't know about.

2) Mojang warns servers who aren't EULA-Compliant. This means that even if your server isn't compliant, Mojang will give you time to stop and change. So, don't follow it straight away.

3) I really like how Arkham is doing their changes. I don't honestly think it is that big of a deal, this EULA thing. It just makes everything fair. If you let the whole server be p2w instead of making it so that nobody is p2w - it's amazing. The owner seems really kind.

4) PrimeMC is very unclear on how they are handling the situation.

5) Archon needs to be less p2w.

You basically said what I said in a different point of view.
I know.
Really sure it would help lots of server if there is a nice ingame ad system which is working and which gives out some profits.

The EULA has bought out both positives and negatives. Yes it may have annoyed a few people here and there who are wanting 'p2w' donator perks when donating and server owners will be effected by this turn of events but it doesn't mean everything will go downhill. The EULA will most likely effect all servers besides a small minority but it is going to stop donator ranks of $600/$1000 giving Protection 5 Unbreaking 4 only allowing those who have said rank to actually progress well on the server. There are servers that have dealt well with this change, for example Arkham's way of dealing with the EULA is both great for the community by keeping all perks available non-advantageous yet still giving it a 'p2w' feel for those wanting them type of benefits. All I can really say is that it'll be interesting to see what kind of changes will come from this and I hope it won't result in liked/known servers having to close down.

Mojang will never be able to pull it off, they made EULA every since mineplex made it pay too win. And there not contacting them to in force Eula. They tried to crackdown Eula in 1.6.4 and 1.7.5 and now all of a sudden there going to find every single server that does not in force Eula. And shut them down? Naw. Impossible. Too many servers to crack down the minecraft community will die if that happens. Look at mineplex. How will they stay up if the CEO can't pay for all his devs and builders and hosting and websites? It'll have to be shut down of course. Mojang says this every update. But it's honestly not going to work. Once 1.9.8 or somthing comes out. We'll probably hear the same thing over and over again. Until we see mineplex or the hivemc and then enforce Eula. Then Mojang is starting to get tough and do something about it. But until then. Nobody will in force Eula and honestly nothing to worry about.

Actually Mojang has more than enough resources to start cracking down on servers. Look at what Valve does to server owners that do not comply with their EULA for example. They get blacklisted and sometimes even worse. Applying similar standards in Minecraft would be easier seeing how tight the community is (Server hosts, big server names, etc that are very EULA compliant and friends of Mojang). One email from Mojang and a server provider will easily stop providing services to that user paying for said server. Also I'm not sure why you are mentioning HiveMC or Mineplex. Both servers are EULA compliant and have been for over a year. I was in the original group conversation with all the big server names when Mojang added emphasis on the importance of following their rules and guidelines. None of these community owners had any intentions of going against Mojangs wishes.

As long as users are spending the same amount of money for cosmetics like they spent on pay2win there aren't any problems with complying.

So every server who asks money for ranks and stuff with 100> players breaks the EULA and goes down? microsoft doesn't know what they doing. If they take down the biggest server whole minecraft will go down

I agree 100%. There is always creative ways of implementing new ideas and plugins to mimic the same feeling you would get from a pay to win experience whilst still complying to the EULA. My team of developers will be more than likely creating a faction/prison bundle of original ideas, plugins, and guidelines that will show examples of this as a resource for OP factions, prisons, and any other server that thinks they have to rely on pay to win. People freak out and forget what the real reason is for donating to a server. Supporting a server you love.

Looks like they went to minecraft servers.org and only did the top 15, and maybe not even that many.
Could well be the case but not all servers will announce on the spot that they have been contacted regarding the EULA and that this may effect donator perks.
