Ok, so for everyone who thinks their EULA compliant... Here is an email I just received about what is and is not compliant with the terms and service agreement. Have fun
Most server owners that havent been living under a rock have doubtless already started thinking up alternatives to this.the part, "-You may not sell so-called “unbans”, “unmutes”, or similar admin tools, for your server, regardless of who receives the money." is going to be a big issue lmfao

This has been the case for a WHILE now, approaching a year. You guys are simply enormously behind. Most big servers have already adapted.
Also, with the custom model option, cosmetic changes can be really useful to fund a server.
I mean, look at CS:GO. The game was dying, then they introduced weapon skins. They do absolutely 0 for gameplay, but they look nice (opinions vary), so people love them.
Now imagine doing this with a custom resourcepack that allows you to buy weapons and armor that look super-awesome, but do not actually change any stats.[DOUBLEPOST=1469543982][/DOUBLEPOST]

the main impact is that it was no longer allowed to rip off 10-y olds with their parent's creditcard, so you could no longer make hundreds with a simple server. thats why everyone is mad about it.It was firstly introduced in 2014, action was enforced 2016, there hasn't been that big of an effect on servers IMO.
Currently we're limited to making cosmetic changes with resourcepacks. If you've got clever devs, you can assign all sorts of effects to different 3D models. If they would make a way to progamically add items in-game without having players to install any mods, then it would be possible to make the similar to CS:GO system, but right now it's retarded. You have to fuck with the stupid particles, and they are not even beautiful.
I know what you mean. But you didn't understand my point.Currently we're limited to making cosmetic changes with resourcepacks. If you've got clever devs, you can assign all sorts of effects to different 3D models.
Ehm, you do know it is possible to create a different model for every durability value, right?I know what you mean. But you didn't understand my point.
What I meant is for example creating 10 variations of diamond sword with different textures. Right now you can sacrifice other swords, but you are loosing their functionality that way.
