Ehm, you do know it is possible to create a different model for every durability value, right?
You can summon items with a set durability value anywhere below their normal value. For diamond swords, I believe it's 1500 or so. So that means 1500 different diamond swords, in theory. Of course, you have to make it so the durability does not get used up for the lower parts, but still.[DOUBLEPOST=1469553281][/DOUBLEPOST]this is in 1.9 btw, which is probs why you didn't know yet because everyone apparently hates 1.9
Well, maybe that's a way, but I still think that EULA is dumb. They force servers do use cosmetic stuff, yet they don't provide any support to make something really unique.

You are pretty much limited to hats and particles right now. Every compliant server has that.[DOUBLEPOST=1469553441][/DOUBLEPOST]And you still are required to work around with that durability thing. If you want to make the swords durability work like it's meant to be work, then you have to make some kind of a system that logs the durability and that kind of stuff.

They did, most people just don't have the skill or resources to make something of it. Think creatively, and you'll find a way around it.
Ever played Hypixel warlords?
Or Turbo karts or whatever it's called? that's what happens when you have skilled devs. now, for purely cosmetic things, it shouldn't be particularly hard to create things like that.
Sure, we'd all love to have block metadata back, but the ability IS there. People are just too busy complaining to make use of it.

Well I have never used 1.9 and probably never will, so I don't really know what's new there.

But from my point of view, if you want to make everyone happy, then provide such functionality for it.

Also rank vouchers and stuff are agains the EULA now. TECHNICALLY cosmic PvP and the archon are not EULA compliant but Mojang won't dare touch them cuz if they do then bye bye Minecraft. The only reason anyone really plays mc is for these big ass servers and multiplayer in general. Take away the huge servers you cause like half at the very least of Minecraft players to just say fuck it and quit[DOUBLEPOST=1469562004][/DOUBLEPOST]
That's why you code a "Rank Drops" plugin :)

Unless your giving that to EVERYONE that is Currently online it's against the EULA

  1. -If you give anything in return for voting for your server, such as “Vote tokens” or other items, the same restrictions apply as for hard currency (real money). Giving soft currency in return for voting is not allowed. You can, however, have a “vote goal” (similar to a donation goal) and give the same item/perk (cosmetic or not) to all players currently online (regardless if they have voted or not).
    Omg this part :/ #RipMinecraft
