Developer Requirements:​

• Must have 1.5 years of experience or more​
• Must be over the age of 16​
• Must be able to put in a fair amount of hours per week

I am looking for someone who is mature. In my opinion, it would be much easier to collaborate with them as I am 18 years old and the gap in age would not be too large.

In all honestly, people who are older tend to be more mature. Quite frankly I would also find it a little bit awkward to work with someone who has not even gotten in to highschool yet while I'm in my first year of college.

It really shouldn't be a problem. It is his preference and choice. He filtered your age group out, and you just have to accept it. Now please don't start anything.

omarhachach Most people who are aged 16 and upwards tend to be more competent than others who are younger. Don't get me wrong, there are some competent and inspirational young developers, however, it is very hard to find those. Also, people aged around 13, like yourself may not be able to handle large projects as such. If they realize something is too hard, they shy away and do not contact the client - This has happened several times with developers I have worked with.

At your age, it would be better if you spent your time learning to get to a strong standard, rather than trying to earn money; technically at your age you do not need the money.
