It is not really any opinion, it is more so a fact.. You will not find a decent dev willing to work for a % of the donations.

No developer in their right mind will work for someone who cannot provide guaranteed payment, that is simply crazy.
It's basically a waste of their time if they were to do so.
Either way, good luck with your search- looking on SpigotMC'S Website under "Offering - Developers" may also help you out as previously stated no developer here will work for you.

Looks like everyone is against you, and I am sure you have not found a dev yet.. So, I suggest you offer an upfront payment (Down payment) along with a % of donations payment.

I'd be happy to consider working here (I assume you're still looking given the thread bumps), but it would have to be with something other than a flat % rate of profits. If you're offering that, then sure
