The Great Emu War aka Australians trying to control the emu population but failing. Australians 0, emus 1. Lol.
If you want something serious, there is the "Kristallnacht" in 1938 during which Nazi Germany killed hundreds of Jews, and destroyed their shops and synagogues (therefore the name "Kristallnacht", signifying the glass shards looking like crystrals). This event marked the transition from discrimination to systematic elimination of the Jewish people by the government.

How is Jesus a historical event? That’s fiction mate never happened.
I'm not religious and I barely know the history behind it, but I'm pretty sure Jesus was real, said something along the lines of "haha you nerds are wrong, follow me, I've got the good stuff". Then a bunch of people really disliked what he said, slapped him on a cross, then everyone actually felt bad and started a religion. After all that jazz, a bunch of new christians popped into a bunch of countries where it was either banned or allowed, and people ended up not caring, leading to a bunch more people following it.

I could give couple of ideas regarding Europe.

- Chernobyl disaster.
If you truly haven't heard of it then you really should look it up! It was unprecedented event that directly affected large portion of EU and some would say the whole world. (The harm it caused cannot really be measured accurately...)
And I also would suggest to watch the series the other user above suggested. (there are multiple inaccuracies but overall it would give a good (as good as you can get from watching couple of series) impression on what happened there and a bit of what was the life in Soviet union like).

- Battle of Stalingrad.
Arguably the most important battle of WW2 (at least in my opinion). If German forces would have taken the city war outcome quite possibly could have been much different. I remember reading an interview with a German soldier who were in that battle driving a tank, he told about how they had to fight against women who were manning only AA (anti aircraft) guns... needless to say AA guns couldn't do any damage to tanks especially when the women had no experience operating them. German soldier told how they clearly knew Russian women couldn't do anything and German tanks just drove over them. He mentioned they were not keen to do it but had no choice if you would have showed mercy or turned back you risked to get shoot by your officers or sent to front line (pretty much a certain death) ... Sounds harsh but the Russian officers were no better... I remember reading about how they cleared the mine fields. Not with trained people with metal detectors but with war prisoners (or pretty much any other people who were viewed as lower class and were available in the moment of need) these people were forced to run over mine fields if they refused they got shoot straight away, if by a miracle they did run over all the minefield and stayed alive often they were forced to run again until you step on the mine or in the best case (if there were no more mines) lived till next day - next minefield...

- Baltic Way.
Quite unbelievable how back then people of 3 countries joined in hands and formed a line of people completely across 3 whole countries.

- The Great Plague.
Terrible time.... It was rumored that pretty much 95% of the people in the city I live died back then...

- The French Revolution and Napoleon wars... Was such a huge influence on Europe...

- Rise and fall of the Roman empire.

Winter war should also be mentioned (Soviet Union invasion against Finland) Imagine fighting for weeks and months in enormous cold like -30c - -40c, staying outside without food or proper shelter for days. It was especially interesting to read about how the Finnish snipers operated (hunting Russians alone without shelter or fire for long periods of time) And the most shocking part was the casualties... Russians gave up at the end cause they lost like x100 times more men due to cold)

There is just so many topics I could mention. History is full of astonishing events and stories ...I wouldn't be able to select just one topic. But I am quite sad about some people... it's a shame if your history knowledge is limited to only WW2, 9/11 and Brexit.
