Hello there!

I am currently looking into buying a dedicated.
The CPU needs to handle 100+ players for a skyblock gamemode.

For what CPU's should I look for?

I maybe thought of these ones:
Intel Xeon E5 1650 v3
Ryzen 7 1700X

Or would a i7 4770 still do the job? Let me know.

I will have to agree with Etika on this- however, you might also want to take into consideration the server's jar and making sure the server's plugins are optimized to do this as well. Otherwise, it should be a walk through the park.
Thank you. Why wouldn't one of the cpu's I listed work?

AMD is probably going to be your best bet, and they'll cost less. The AMD one you listed looked good. I'd assume this would be split up over different servers with bungee?

Correct. Will have atleast 64 gigs of ram ( overkill I know )

How much RAM are you planning to dedicate to each server, and how many servers?

Bungee, hub and skyblock.
Bungee - 500mb
Hub - 5gb
Skyblock - 18gb
This will be higher though but this seems reasonable

18GB is overkill, servers can't really use anything over 12GB. CPU is really the primary thing you're going to be dependent on.

Just for the record wouldn't recommended allocating 500mb to BungeeCord, I have seen servers literally die on 500mb of ram.

Just a friendly reminder that AMD has offered a better CPU for the same or better price than Intel for the past year. If you want new stuff you should look into AMD and compare it to what you're looking at in Intel's catalog.

Thank you both. I'll look into it! I know enough now

The Ryzen is the newest out of those but still doesn't perform as well as the newest generation ones which literally came leaps and bounds. If you're looking at Intel then look at the newest CPUs, E-2288G/i9 equivalent is a good choice.
