I'm currently making a thread design to test out my new photoshop skills and am not sure what fonts are good to use for the title and general text.

Any recommendations would be much appreciated! :)

Thanks,

Take a look at a lot of the free font sites - you can spend your time browsing endlessly for days honestly.

Also take a look at Google's fonts - little bit less creative but also pretty professional fonts (and I love Roboto not going to lie).

Montserrat (the google font) is my most-used font, it's very clean. 100% recommend.

Jasmine is Queen gave some great recommendations. I use Circular Std the most. This font isn't free actually (you can download it for non-commercial use) but I haven't gotten in trouble for it. Yet. So use at your own risk. But I'd say I use https://fonts.google.com the most.

Serif fonts
Playfair Display is a really good serif font (fonts.google.com). Two other serif fonts that I really love actually come with Office itself: Cambria and Times (New Roman).

Sans Serif fonts
As for Sans Serif fonts I actually try to avoid Montserrat (fonts.google.com). I don't like the 'wider' look it has. Instead, I love using Lato (fonts.google.com), and Roboto (fonts.google.com). They are an absolute bliss to the eye and a pleasure to work with. Please keep in mind that a lot of fonts from sites like www.dafont.com are non-commercial use only. So if you want to play safe, just use the big library that https://fonts.google.com offers you.

Good luck and if you need any help as for feedback or other tips regarding graphic design, be sure to add me on Discord or shoot me a private message!

Have been over quite a few of them given the number of other people suggesting I check google fonts. Found some good ones :)
