If you're asking, you're doing it wrong.

This message is completely not helping.

Also if your looking to start there are many ways to teach yourself. I would say try to use what you know and mess around with code a bit. Once your wanting to expand then go look for free online courses to truly find out if you like it or not then move into paid courses. A good site too look for a free starting Java lesson would be on Code Academy.

A good program to use to type code into would depend on your personal preference. Popular ones are Atom and Notepad++.

If someone asks then they lack the ability be independent. Nobody wants people who depend on others to show them the way.

Maybe for some people it is easy to figure out but I know some may need a push. Just was trying to be helpful but I understand what you mean. Independence and ingenuity is important when it comes to learning or working in this kind of work.

It's never easy. If people want easy, then they're choosing the wrong field.

Programs like Atom and Notepad++ get you no where in Java. You want Eclipse or IntelliJ. Most say IntelliJ is better but personally I prefer Eclipse for reasons I don't care to explain (besides starting in it lol). I would also recommend watching the Newbostons tutorials as they are very simple and great!

Because if you start of trying to make 600 different classes, your going to get lost.
a. If you make 600 classes for a simple starting project, you are doing something wrong.
b. If you get lost with your own code, you are doing something wrong.

a) You make once class - exactly my point.
b) You make mistakes to improve on them. Learning is about making mistakes. "Doing something wrong" isn't a bad thing.
