Got scammed what should I do now...

A person called Thumb messaged me saying that he would like to sell his agai.io account to me, and we made a deal. However, when I paid him the price we agreed on he give me the email that the account was "linked" to but the password didn't work. I messaged back several times telling him that the password didn't work but he never responded. It has been more than 9 hours since I told him that the account didn't work, and he has been active before I sent him that message, so I'm sure I have just gotten scammed.

The person that scammed me has +17 rep.

The scammed amount is $20

Don't think its the same Thumb he's talking about, since he said the person had 17+ rep, and Thumb on MCM only has 7, unless you added a 1 by accident, which I don't think it was accidental. While waiting on your chargeback results, you should open up a scam report to ensure other users won't get scammed.

Anyways, impersonators are a big issue when it comes to getting scammed, did you confirm on-site or have any proof this Thumb guy is really who he says he is.

How have you only got 5 rep, I always see you on threads and shit and you have a fuck ton of messages and positive reactions

I used to do a lot of deals back when there wasn’t a reputation system in place. I ended up taking a break from Mc-Market and gaming for 2 years and when I came back the system had been added. I haven’t done any recent deals because I’ve been spending my money on IRL stuff (rent etc). Although I will say things are going to be changing with the new job I’m getting and I’m probably going to buy quite a few things.
