I assume you builders would know how to do this. Any way to grow grass and wheat on lets say clay or cobblestone? Some sort of command or something? Vouch to whomever finds me an answer lol.

Most simple way is to use WorldEdit, just copy grass block and paste it on a clay block. Or for large areas you can also use Worldedit cyl brush with let's sat 10% grass or wheat. (wheat will disappear if there is no block beneath)
I guess //overlay also should work...

.//fast .//set <ID> (So select the spot above the block you want to place it on)

Example ./rg flag _global_ leaf-decay deny then //brush cylinder 31:1,0,0,0,0,0,0 4 2[DOUBLEPOST=1489255405][/DOUBLEPOST]I think thats it.[DOUBLEPOST=1489255415][/DOUBLEPOST]Thats just an example
Hey i think this should work, but what are you using for the region?[DOUBLEPOST=1489261137][/DOUBLEPOST]Everyones methods did not work because the grass and wheat would just break due to no grass blocks under the grass and wheat.

Worldguard isn't even needed. Just use non-decaying leave IDs

I need wheat and grass though.[DOUBLEPOST=1489263793][/DOUBLEPOST]

Doesnt look like global_leaf-decay works just says to chose a different flag

//fast and then world edit it on there.

Or, replace all cobble/stone/whatever with farmland/grass then just.//replace stone, cobblestone, whatever grass, farmland then spam your grass/wheat then make sure you have //fast on and do //undo.

use FAWE (fast async worldedit) and instead of placing wheat and grass on random blocks do it normally, then replace the blocks underneath your grass/wheat with your desired block.

this might work without fawe but idk for sure.
Also theres a plugin called worldguard which as far as i'm concerned can protect these "blocks" by blocking chunk updates.

Using fast, over half breaks and then the rest slowly breaks[DOUBLEPOST=1489264922][/DOUBLEPOST]As far as worldguard goes, how can i protect these blocks?

Then disable the gamerule of randomtickspeed.

If you disable it crops don't grow though.

Is there not a plugin for this? Lol im surprised no ones ever wanted to plant anything on blocks other than grass?[DOUBLEPOST=1489265690][/DOUBLEPOST]Id legit pay someone 10 bucks to make me a world guard addon that disables identity breaks flag or something in order to prevent the crops from being destroyed.[DOUBLEPOST=1489266633][/DOUBLEPOST]
