Creator Updates Growth Update: Addons, EULAs, and Minimum Prices

Growth update​

After our relatively polarising announcement last month, I wanted to provide an update to let you know that things are going great so far and the results of our changes to addons, EULAs, and minimum prices have all worked out according to plan:

• Our new minimum prices resulted in creators earning 6.8% more during regular periods while receiving 4.2% fewer sales with no impact on the distribution of purchases between large and small creators. This means creators are earning more while needing to provide less ongoing support to buyers
• Our Black Friday sale event led to a 45% increase in sales compared to regular periods. For reference, creators earned more than twice the amount this Black Friday than you did in 2024
• Addons had their biggest month ever thanks to the new changes as well. Creators earned almost $12,000 last month from addons, and over the coming months we hope to grow that number significantly

Improvements​

We've got a few improvements for you:

• Increased the maximum number of extras you can create for each resource from 3 to 5 for regular users, and from 5 to 10 for Ultimate users. The number of support duration and enhanced support durations remains the same for each
• Released a new wiki article that provides much more detail about what each of the terms of our new EULAs are. There's been some confusion about the new names we've given to some terms, so we hope this will clear things up a bit more for you
• In the next few weeks we'll be bringing some improvements to give you more control over enhanced support addons and how you can interact with all addons through our API
• We're also improving our curated sale events system for the upcoming Christmas sale, and we want to hear what you'd like changed. Please provide feedback in our creator channels in Discord

$600+ in prizes for addon creators​

Results so far from our addons update have been great, but we know things will be even better if more creators make addons for your resources. Only around 5% of our active creators are offering addons on your resources. Quite a few of you are now earning more money from selling addons than you are from selling the parent resources, which shows just how great the earning potential is when you offer complementary upsells for each of your resources.

To encourage you to give our addons system a try, we're giving away prizes to a few lucky creators who publish addons. Every addon you create (either a license extension, enhanced support, or file extra) that gets at least 1 sale in the next 30 days will enter you into a raffle to win the following prizes:
