Has a truly new gamemode been released in while?

Minecraft servers always have a bunch of circulating gamemodes, be it factions, kitpvp, skyblock, prison, etc.

But recently, I'm trying to think of one, has a new style of server been released? Doesn't have to be the most popular one, just curious if there is anything new and fresh on the market.

I have a server that isn't released yet but it's going to have gamemodes such as SkyGrid, Skywars, Skyblock, Limitless Creative, Aerial Factions, Cloud Prison and Flying Kit-PvP.

My server essentially is Escape From Tarkov, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. & Metro 2033. It's an exteremly modified version of factions, But it is so modified I call it S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Factions because it takes place in Soviet Russia and there are guns/vehicles and stuff. You can PM me if you are interested or want to hear about it lol.

Nah its a custom factions style game mode im making slowly.

The problem with a lot of new gamemode ideas is a relatively active playerbase is necessary. If it's not big enough and active enough, it gets boring and unplayable.
