Have you ever been scammed?

I sell a lot of resources (Not all on this site), and after people try to scam a lot and chargeback them, and you keep winning, paypal will support you as its the same type of fight. As long as you prove you are a legit seller, they will side on you for most fights.

I process +$7K/month worth of transactions with PayPal. PayPal isn't the issue though. If a credit card payment is made and the person calls up his bank, the payment will be reversed, no matter what you do. If the payment went through PayPal will reverse it too.

And to add on to that, VISA charges a $20 fee for each reversal (applies to Credit card payments through PayPal too). So you kinda get double fucked. Not nice. Especially if it's a $4 transaction.

There's not much you can do about VISA credit card chargebacks done through banks directly. This is because the customer's bank decides wether they will get their money back or not. Why would a bank not side with their own customer?

Our ToS is fine. It's just not worth fighting them anymore.

Yes but over like $1, its too much hassle.
I get like 1-5 a week.

I remembered the first time i got into servers I had a small faction server about 10+ people then grew to 50 over a couple of weeks and decided to add a minecraftmarket (The donation store) and made my ranks super cheap like $2 / $5 etc You know small old school stuff not looking to make money, and people actually donated, until one person decided to chargeback $2, theres no point in fighting like you said, if you fight paypal on it that $2 loss turns into $22 (Paypal chargeback fee) which is why opening a server now would be suicidal for most people starting out. how the minecraft community has fallen.

I always write an essay summarizing the scam unlike most people on MCM. I usually spend 30 minutes on a scam report. Most of the time, the scam report gets closed and the user banned, so I have to report the charge to PayPal. So far I've always won, and I've been scammed over 5 times.

It's always a hassle to write a scam report because of tge length of my reports...and it's not even worth it because they always get banned without being resolved on MCM, so I have to turn to PayPal...with a seperate report being written.

Yea, a big portion of it was to buy a SM but before i did the deal i made sure i moved the money to my bank and paid it that way. It's all good just takes a while to CB

I've probably gotten scammed around $250~ in server related stuff. I tend to hold a grudge towards the scammer, in fact I still remember my first scammer's full name, and it was from 2ish years ago. I get super stressed and hate myself for a couple of weeks every time I get scammed, I saw a saying (cheesy, ik) "Don't spend more than 5 minutes stressing out about things that won't matter in 5 years." and it really hit me lmao, slowly trying to cope with the fact that sometimes people will fuck me over.

I got scammed $750 in a month after joining MC-M
I was purchasing an OG account from Eagle I paid him, Got the account later on, He got banned and pulled the account back.

Gosh, That sounds so bad. Did you atleast win the chargeback?

I got scammed once for $7, was buying premium from some guy and he just blocked me after a payment.
As it is not big amount of money I didn't do nothing. :3
