$1k is a bit excessive, I'd say it'd be priced around $350 - $750 depending on the exact features the poster wants.

I'm not sure where any options are, but I'd be glad to help you look for some.

You obviously haven't worked in a real world environment where people get charged thousands for quality development. Quality is the key word there.

1k is not excessive in the slightest! A core which is custom coded, bug free and able to support 500+ players concurrently will easily set you back $7.5-10K+.

Nevertheless, OP is looking for a non-exclusive core. ImAnt i'd recommend Notorious Core. This is a base grade core, but it is constantly updated and works with HCFactions. It is also only $20.

I do work for a bespoke software development firm, I personally downplay my prices on the forums (obviously not to the extent certain people do) but enough that a wider audience can gain these products. I program as a hobby as well as professionally so this is just loose cash on the side for me which is why I charge so little. You're totally right though, in professional environments, quality code is worth tonnes.
