Just add my skype,Wait Really... Where should I get one then?
It's not an 'accusation', you just told him about your company twice in two different comments?
Why would an employee direct a potential customer to their company?
Because you can make money off them.
It's not an 'accusation', you're doing exactly what you should be doing, I'm just trying to warn a noobie about the possible risks.
He should know that you opinion/statement is only being said because you can potentially make a profit from it. It's only fair.
- How many VPS's I have used in the past or use currently is not relevant.
- How many players you can hold is not dependent on how many cores you have.
- Minecraft doesn't use 8 cores. It can use a max of 2 (with Spigot/Modification).
The more you talk about this, the more I realize YOU don't know anything about VPS's.
Skype is my username, USA.
He wants you to add him on Skype so he can try to complete the sale without other people trying to divert potential customers (me).
I have nothing against Atom-Host, they're brand new, I've never tried them.
However that doesn't mean I don't know what I'm talking about here.
A VPS is not JUST a webserver. It's just hardware and an OS of your choice.
Most people USE them AS webservers because it's more affordable to get a VPS (small amount of dedicated hardware) compared to a fully dedicated box, which can cost $100+ a month.
Shattered should really stop spewing false information to try to complete a sale.
You might get more customers but actually knowing what you're talking about, and being honest with potential customers.
Good luck OP!
I have setup many, however I have only installed Multicraft once and it was a while ago, I prefer to use no console at all, or McMyAdmin.
Either way, all you have to do is purchase a license for Multicraft, which is typically very cheap (this way you always own a license and can install it on future dedicated machines / VPS's), and then look around for some guides on how to set it all up.
You can also find numerous members around the forums here that would be more than happy to assist you and get it installed either for free, or for a few bucks. ($2-$6)
The last time I compared the two, the only difference is with Multicraft you can host multiple servers from the same panel. So if you have like a hub server, it's easier to manage them all at once.
With McMyAdmin, you need a console for each server instance, so if you have 5 servers, you'll need 5 McMyAdmin licenses and you'll login to each server independently.
I find McMyAdmin to be much easier to install, has a little bit more user-friendly interface, and it does everything you need it to do and a little bit more.
Do your research!!!
Just look into what other people say they like about one over the other.

Just go to Multicraft's site and you can buy it directly from them.
Some people here might also be selling license keys, but that can be risky too.
There's a lot of fake keys that have been made.

Don't listen to him, he's trying to direct you to a hosting company that he owns/works with so they they can get your money.
I told you I dont have a hosting company and your making accusations, just because I mentioned another host in chat (when he asked whats a good shared host) doesnt mean I own or work for it.Shattered should really stop spewing false information to try to complete a sale.
You might get more customers by actually knowing what you're talking about, and being honest with potential clients.
Blast_The_Blocks If you need help installing multicraft add me on skype: Tom7653.MCMS. Ill be willing to help you.
a shared host can be effected by another client on the same server so easily and you will always get mixed results. Somebody else could be using up too much bandwidth, they could be getting hit offline, they could be using more of the CPU, etc. Shared hosting, is by far, about the worst thing you can do.
A VPS is simply a dedicated machine with a few less bells and whistles.
hahaha3.You talk about MC like it's a difficult server to run for a computer. My cell phone could run a MC server and hold 50+ players.
Where did you host your VPS from?We all speak from our own experiences.
You do what works for you, and share, and I do what works for me, and share.
If you've had issues with running servers on VPS's in the past, well then I must be doing something different.
Well your saying how good it can host on an OVH VPS, I want to know if you ever hosted from them. Not really relevant because each server runs at different specs considering how it's setup, how many plugins it has, what jar it's using, what OS it's on, and what CPU it's running on.
Glad you found what you think will work best for you OP
I think what you picked out will be more than enough to get you started and on your feet, then you'll just need to upgrade as needed! Should be painless![]()
Or a shared host which hosts on the same. You could look at SoYouStart's game servers or dedis they are fairly cheap and they will do the job.
