How Do People Rapidly Grow Discords?

The message is automated, and I've talked with several members of the Discord Team about it. They have given their stance quite clearly.
Invite rewards including money isn't, not to my knowledge.
It is, and please show me where they state anything about invite rewards.
One of my friends owned a server operating through invite rewards, this is what he later got e-mailed when the invite link generator was blocked for all members
Most Minecraft servers have trailers posted by big YouTubers who promote their discord server. This will likely only be a few hundred members however with the addition of invite rewards they can grow very quick.
If you then think about the paid promotion on other Minecraft related discord servers it really starts to add up.
As for non-Minecraft related discords the discord link websites you can pay to be at the top and stuff to attract more members not sure how effective this is tho.
Discord botting is getting more and more popular. There have been many times when I join a discord and within seconds 3 - 10 people have messaged me promoting another discord server however they all seem to be in a foreign language. I have searched around trying to find said discord bots with no luck and I mean iv look a LOT. I have found one bot that did kind of work however it was for sure not what they were using and it was very junky.
The PayPal reward discord servers are crazy. I joined one a while ago when a "friend" invite me to join it. I knew it was a scam but the idea of growing discord servers interests me. Keep in mind this discord server had over 15k members at the time I joined when I look at the invite bot leaderboard the owner of the server had like 12k/14k ish invites. So when I saw new members joining with the owner's link I messaged them and they all said they were invited by a different user. As you know to get invites you NEED to use your own link. So I know for a fact that the owner was using a bot. However when the discord reached 20k members about 4 days after I joined the "admins" exposed the owner for scamming and they said that they had started their own PayPal rewards discord server and started promoting it. I struggle to see how they make money. Unless they rebrand the discord server and sell it on with the dead members left in the discord.

Read the last line. It isn't against the rules, but if it causes spam and abuse it is against the ToS.
