Edit The point of this thread wasn't to receive any sympathy, but was more to give it to others who've had a similar experience.
Essentially, this is how my day has been so far.
[0:00AM] Woken up to deal with some stupid shenanigans in the shoutbox
[2:30AM] Finally manage to fall asleep
[4:30AM] Wake up, get ready and go to work
[5:25AM] Arrive at work and start
[12:40PM] Finish work, realise I've forgotten my ID and can't get the bus home
[1:00PM] Waited 20 mins for a taxi, and upon driving home the taxi driver explains that he has no idea where he's going.
[1:10PM] Taxi is now lost, RIP
[1:20PM] Finally arrive home after giving the taxi driver directions, and pay him the equivalent to $6.
[1:21PM] As I walk into my house, I accidentally drop my $65 Sennheiser earphones, stand on them, yank the cord and effectively split the cable. They don't work, RIP
[1:25PM] Discover I have to walk all the way back out again to go to pick up a letter from my doctor
I'll update this as my pretty gloomy day goes on.
