Gj telling people.
Just making them aware of it, no big deal. You should never log on skype without a vpn if you are worried about been DDoSed regardless.

Don't make people mad, people don't DDOS for no reason.
You don't need to make someone mad to have them DDoS you.[DOUBLEPOST=1485345207][/DOUBLEPOST]
If you know what you're doing (And its home internet) Close all open ports, They'll have no open port to send anything to you at.
Closing ports does not prevent DDoS attacks.

"Port 80 is the port number assigned to commonly used internet communication protocol, Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP). It is the port from which a computer sends and receives Web client-based communication and messages from a Web server and is used to send and receive HTML pages or data."

You're 100% incorrect.
You're 100% correct.

To everyone saying " use a vpn " thats total bull shit. Even if they hit off you on a VPN, you still get affected.

You cant avoid being ddosed, just fine a way to get even or go watch a 30m ep of iCarly.
You can get DDoS protected VPNs although most have very weak protection. In the case that your VPN does get hit offline, simply reconnect to it for a new ip address, eventually the DDoSer will give up as he isn't taking you offline for long.

Are proxies even needed anymore? I thought you couldn't get ips through skype anymore
There is a paid program out there that can grab any of your online Skype friends IP, if they are using Skype 4 Web or their status isn't online it won't work, but the IP is real time, it's not like a Skype Resolver.

I believe it the program also logs the past ip addresses of the friend aswell.

Yep Sorry about that haha, closing Port 21 Stops any FTP Connections from working though. (If you're running any servers)
Almost all user based DOS'S are sent through Port 80 so it wouldn't help anyway.[DOUBLEPOST=1485555327][/DOUBLEPOST]

If you have a VPN they wouldn't get your IP in the first place, hitting off a VPN will not affect you at all that's pretty much the whole reason of them. The DOS will be routed to a Data Center and probably be filtered don't say random shot lol.
