Hey, everyone. I wanna ask you guys a question revolving around a pretty serious topic.

How many of you are in the path of the Category 5 Hurricane Irma? This includes people that live anywhere ranging from Florida to Virginia. And if you are, have you evacuated yet?

I heard that this demon of a hurricane is gonna most likely destroy parts of Florida and the East Coast. If you're in its path, I'll be praying for you. ;)

I'm actually going to be so in line with Irma, my parents said I might be able to look up and see the eye of the hurricane, which I didn't like hearing :(.

On the east coast of Fl and they haven't told us to evacuate yet. People are panicking and the shelves for Water/bread/perishables go quicker then you can blink and trying to buy Gas/Propane is hard to find/buy. From what they are saying on the news once it hits Florida it will be a Cat 4 and will decrease to a Cat 3 but we never know

I personally don't have to worry about hurricanes (Kansas is LIT), however, if you're in the path I'd recommend GETTING OUT. People didn't leave during Harvey... and uh. That didn't end well...

Well most people have the brains to evacuate without hearing from the government first. If there's a category 5 hurricane in the path of your area, it'd be smart to get outta there.

That's a simplistic way of looking at, there are many REASONS why you can't just evacuate. Yes that's the best option but financially no. You're basically leaving with whatever money you have, which may not even be a lot. You have to take into account what direction the hurricane is headed towards, what hotels aren't BOOKED, what gas stations have GAS. How much family members you are taking, location to another state of another relative/friend but many people as seemingly young as you don't seem to get the gist of situations such as this. Why you use "... most people have the brains.." to point out the obvious. Yes you can leave without the government alerts such as Evacuations or "state of emergency" but there is much more at play then just being smart.

Actually, when it makes land fall in Florida, it will only be a low cat 4. However, it will hit cat 3 once it hits Virginia, and any state paste them will just get a lot of rain and thunderstorms, but no real flooding. I live in PA, we are supposed to get 1 inch of rain (So they say right now), however I feel like this storm is going to change, and only really hit floridly and Georgia. I have never really been able to see a hurricane, and I would love a CAT 2 to hit where I live just to experience it, and then never get one again lmao.

I live in miami dade (Florida), not evacuating. I'm pretty sure I'm getting the worst part of the hurricane (At least what a lot of people have been saying).

I'm in Savannah GA. Definitely evacuating, I'm actually leaving tomorrow so as to avoid the traffic deadlock when the mandatory evac starts on saturday.

How funny would it be if some how, this hurricane just changes paths and hits south america instead, and all these people are leaving and buying shit.. I would be SO pissed if that somehow happened. I mean, it won't we all know that, but man I would be mad af.
